My 510 starter kit finally got here from litecig (lol, it was actually pretty quick) and I've got the first battery on the charger. Sucks that it takes so long on the initial charge but oh, well, I can deal. I am wondering, though, do I need to clean the atomizer or anything before the first use? I noticed that inside the package (even though it doesn't look torn, open, anything like that) is a little wet... Is that some sort of lube or something they put on it? I'm also wondering if it's practical to prefill my carts.... I'm probably going to smoke vape first thing in the morning so I don't want to be fumbling with liquid and tiny parts so early... If I prefill them tonight will I have to worry about them leaking or anything like that?

Sorry for all the questions, but I just want to maximize my first vape experience. I don't want to smoke a cig in the a.m.!!! :D

The liquid you found is likely primer fluid. Blow it out into a tissue really hard several times until no more comes out. Prime the atty with 5 or 6 drops of juice. Take several good long drags without inhaling, then carefully inhale a bit to see if it tastes good. If it doesn't take several more drags without inhaling and try it again. Eventually it'll start tasting ok and you're all set. Atomizers can take an hour or more to fully break in and until they do there might be a hint of that primer flavor and vapor production might not be that great. Remember to top off your cart when the flavor starts tasting burned. Running an atty dry can kill them in a hurry.
