You should be able to use the batts after about two hours of charging. They're pretty robust. I didn't bother doing any kind of conditioning cycle on mine and they perform excellently. 6 - 8 solid hours of vaping between charges.

Congrats on the Prodigy! You'll love it. They take a little getting used to, but once you have the hang of it you'll wonder why you ever bothered with 3.7v.

Ordered mine on the 2nd, just got it today!

The thing is big... Compared to my old DSE 901 anyway.

Can't wait to start using it!

Oh, do I have to get a new adapter plate AND a new resistor if I wanted to move over to an 801? 901's are 3v and 801's are 6, right?

Sorry for hijacking the thread, guess I'll go read some more.

Good luck vaping with your new Prodigy Sheerluckholmes!

scythe944. The switch that comes with the Prodigy has a resistor that regulates the two 3.0v batteries to 5v. The switch on the site without the resistor lets you use the big 3.7v battery and if you dare the two 3.0v batts for a total of 6.0v! You will only need an adaptor if you want to use other atomizers.

Just got mine today also... Wow.. this thing is cool!. My juice has never tasted so good. It even blows away my Pure Smoker Pass thru...

It is a big ole thing though. I will defenitely be looking at the protege when it comes out.. just because. From the sounds of it may be a good one for the 510.

thanks a bunch vapnaway,

I ruined my cardinal rule of posting before researching, but I'm glad it paid off.

I agree that the prodigy kicks .... though. I've been using it for a few hours on a very minimal 1-2 hour charge, and it keeps going like the energizer bunny.

However, after using it, I think I'll be sticking with the 901 for a little while. I don't really need a big throught hit, even though I don't mind it. I like the flavor of my menthol juice, and the amount of vapor that the prodigy produces is plenty. I guess I just need to stock up on juice and atty's, and I'll be set for a while.

I'm interested in the protege, as my girlfriend is looking for something more, well, "feminine". She hates pink, but doesn't think that she should have to carry something around that looks like a "vibrator".

However, the technician in me says that the only way to make a long lasting, reliable e-cig requires large batteries, thus creating a large cigarette. We may never have something small and powerful in the near future...

Oh well, to the two people that just received their Prodigy like me, Enjoy!!! I sure as heck am!

Here I am sucking on this Prodigy and I read this right at the end of a huge vap..... I almost had a cardiac arrest from laughing so hard and coughing my ... off. How will I get the image of sucking off a vibrator outta my head?:-x:shock::nun::lol::hubba:
