Some of the drip tips I have made are breaking off below the o-ring.
IMG_20121230_164426.jpg

I have ordered some stainless steel to make a new tip base. This will replace the stainless steel tube. The new design will be stainless steel around the o-ring and a tube will run all the way up to the tip. I hope to have a prototype base in about a week.

These tips were sold with out a warranty. However these tips should not be breaking like this with normal use and they are. For this reason they will be covered.
If you have a drip tip that breaks below the o-ring I would like to turn you a replacement tip in the new design. If you do not want a replacement tip you can receive a store credit or refund instead. For all of these options you will need to take a picture of the tip just so we can keep track of which tips have been replaced.

I apologize for any inconvenience this causes and will do my best to make it right.

Here is the first version 4 drip tip. The tube is 1/8". The base diameter is .333 so it should fit better in slightly smaller devices. The o-ring groove is .230. A snug fitting o-ring will be installed on the tip and a slightly smaller one will come with it for tighter devices.
So far I have made 21 more bases and will be starting to make replacement tips soon.

The tube of this vmax is copper or brass that has been plated in possibly stainless then painted. Due to this a half wrap in stainless will not be possible. The sanding and buffing would wear threw the plating. If china ever makes a Vmax with a solid stainless tube a half wrap will be possible. If everything holds up for a few weeks I will add the Vmax to the list.

Come to mama! :D This turned out so beautiful Lewis. I can't thank you enough. You are such a skill craftsman and I hope you can do more vmax's and zmax's in the future.

Thanks, I can't wait until you see it in person :)

I should have known you'd want the blue one lol Now you'll have to post a photo of it on one of your mods :) I'll try and post a photo of my two tomorrow.
I look forward to seeing them, it is always great to see them at their new homes.

It's here and I'm as excited as a kid at Christmas. I sent Lewis my first impressions of my Vmax after opening the box so instead of repeating it I'll just post what I said.

"I got it! I got it!. OMG...when I unrolled it from the paper towel my jaw dropped and all I could think was "Oh wow". LOL! You did a GREAT job on this. All I want to do is look and fondle it. :) It's so damn smooth it feels like glass. This is my new favorite mod. I love the drip tips also and I think the metal connector is going to work out much better. I feel so lucky and proud to have one of your works of art and I thank you very much for doing this. :) Now I must go fondle my vmax some more. LOL!"

So now Lewis can add Vmax and probably Zmax to his list of mods that he can put wood on. Also, the CA finish that he put's on the wood magnifies the numbers in the display window making it easier to read for those who have less then perfect vision. :)

Here we go:

This one shows the larger numbers with the CA finish on the window.
Those aren't my hands BTW. :p

This is the Acrylic Blue Sky drip tip that I got to match my Provari and Phiniac Phrosty tank.

I've been vaping with this new favorite mod now for a couple of hours, in between fondling it, :p and it is so warm and comfortable in my hand. I just can't say enough about the craftsmanship of this woodwork and the attention to detail. Thank you so much Lewis. :)

It is great to see how much you like your Vmax!
The pictures are great, thank you for posting them up. It is always great seeing the mods at their new homes. :)

Actually I like the wood more than the vmax. I can't stop looking at it. When I hold it up to the light it just shimmers and changes colors. It's dazzling. :)

I thought I would post an update for my LG Vmax. It is still running great and I haven't worn off the CA fondling it. :p I knocked it over one day and about had a coronary but there wasn't a mark on it. Whew! I would have cried. :( No problems with the button and I really like the enlarged digital display. :) You did good Lewis. Thank you again :)
