Woodvils are going on a road trip.

I am leaving Wednesday at 5am for a visit with my sister.
She lives on beautiful Lake Gaston in NC

I was thinking of making the trip (4 days) with just a Grand and a Mini. But I decided last night I just can't be away from my 2 woodvils that long.

So I am packing the tackle box with 2 Woodvils 1 Grand and 1 Mini
juice, batteries, charger, attys, cartos .... etc. (maybe 2 chargers just in case)

Yesterday I bought some foam and cut circles to fit two cup holders in the Grand Caravan.
Inside the circles I cut rectangles to perfectly hold one Woodvil in each of the two cup holders.

No Woodvils on the boat though, need to make a floatation device for the mini

Packing today with my wife, lots of stuff to pack with a 3y and 4 month old. Its a solid 8 hour drive if I do it by myself non-stop so probably 10 hours with the kids and potty breaks.

Hope the weather is nice, I will be checking in on my iPad or iPhone ....

My rule of thumb when road tripping with my wife & kids is to double the travel time it would take me to travel somewhere by myself. It's pretty accurate.

I have ALOT of my family living in Roanoke Rapids, and some of them have houses on lake Gaston too. Have a fun time, and a safe trip! I lived there too....miss the BBQ!
