wool touching the atomizer?

Is it bad if the wool touches the atomizer? Sorry if I posted a question already asked. I just couldn't find it

I have a RN4075 and the wool in the cart sits on the bridge .

If it does not touch the bridge the vapour production drops and can be sporadic.

The wool touches the atomizer on most models. No big deal. The tempatures against wet wool are never high enough to melt the plasic, but many folks on many of these threads question plasic by-products sort of leaching into the vapor. If you want a real kick in the teeth smoke analogs. These have true combustion of who-knows-what organic materials, producing 4000+ chemicals of which many are known to be carcinogenic. Decisions, decisions... Say you vape for the next twenty years spending gobs of money in the process. After investing all that money, you don't even get the benefit of developing cancer! What a gyp!

I use REAL wool but use a small piece from a cotton sterile face cleaning pad as a topper and it touches the atty. This way it creates more vapor.

Thanks for the help. I was just wondering because I was refilling my cartage and the wool was completely out (of that holder thingy) but it was still wet. So i put it back in and vapped for about another hour or so.

It should work...but always keep an eye--nose--out for 'odd' odor. If you get it, get a magnifying glass and take a good...close...look at the tip. See no melting? Remember the smell and file it away with the other ton of information.

If the wool came out while you were vaping it was too dry, top up more often and this should stop it happening.

Whenever I top off I pull the filler up with a straightened paperclip so I know it's making good contact with the atty bridge. If it isn't you'll have poor vapor production.

The wool is dripping wet and it still comes. I tried different cartridges. I just stated vapping, a few days ago and I'm completely off analogs. I might be jumping the gun here but, could it be that my lungs are getting stronger and I'm taking bigger hits without realizing it?

I've also notice that when I take a 4 or 7 sec vap. the atomizer gets hot fast. Is that a problem?
