Liveformoment -- For a longer fix, you might try threaded inserts. There are several types and a Google search will set you upon your journey. I have not used them for the PV's as yet, but I have used them on engines, other machinery, and on R/C planes, with great success. I have not taken the time to research to make sure there is a size for the PV's, but I don't think it would take to long to figure that out.
Short of that you may be able to replace the end of your device depending on what you have.

I spent a little time searching when the threads on my Vamo were going out (They were wonky from the start) with no success.
Short of that you may be able to replace the end of your device depending on what you have.

That's what I ended up doing.
