Hi
My favorite GGTS is an aluminum TMF but the 510 connector threads just stripped out. At first i thought it was the threads on the atty but it's the internal on the connector. My first thought is to use a female to male 901 to 510 which will make it sit a bit higher. Thats providing the adaptor fits, dont know, havnt tried yet. The alternative I was going to do was to wrap a bit of aluminum foil on the shank of the atty to make up some room but thats not a permanent fix.

Has anybody soldered aluminum to the internal and then re-threaded? I searched the cov site but none to be had.

Any othr solutions?

Thanks

You can always e-mail Bruce if he has a spare connector for warranty's. But, like silent said: all he would have are nickel plated ones, since I also just had to have my aluminum one replaced and that is all he had. Still, great service, great device, godly vapor. :D
When I first got mine (second-hand) the 510 was already almost stripped. But a 510-901 adapter would still work (which is weird cause no 510 attys would), and a 510-510 adapter would still go in (it wiggled a bit, but after messing with it for a few minutes it would stop and stand straight).

Edit: Imeo beat me to posting! Took me that long to write this, lol!

Take the threaded portion of a 510 battery connector and grind it down to fit inside the 801 connector. Press it in straight and tight and it's like brand new because the 510 portion threads ARE brand new.

Here's one I did for the Franken GG

That's the best easiest repair I've found for a stripped connector

So you don't need my old connector? Shouldn't have showed me the easy fix! Lol, j/king. Cool idea and fix though, Para!
