Worst nightmare of my life from vaping

I had the worst nightmare I have ever had, and probably will ever have. I am traumatized.
Dont say?

I have struggles already with panic and general mental instability....
Ya dont say?

Not long after I woke up, I realized that the vaping must have had something to do with it.
Or, yanno...your history of panic attacks and mental instability might have had something to do with it.

Nopt talking .... on people with mental issues, but if your house is in flames around you, dont blame the burning feeling on sunburn.

I bought a vape thing for the first time today. I was kind of pulling on it all day, because it was fun. I'm a smoker, so of course I bought juice with nicotine in it. I liked the clouds.
............

I'll pray for you bruddah.

If I consume nicotine within a 30-60 min window before sleep, it is almost a guarantee i will wake up an hour later from an unpleasant dream. It never happened with cigarettes for me, but it did happen with chew, snus, and the patch. Not sure what the difference is.

Also definitely true that some of us would be more prone to unpleasant nicotine dreams than others who report more pleasant experiences.

I would say don't let this dissuade you from stopping cigarettes. I just take precautions like monitoring my nicotine consumption within a certain time frame before bed.

Hope you feel better soon and get some rest

This is a new one. These kind of posts keep popping up. The aspect of my personality that only goes outside with a tin foil hat realizes that these kind of threads can only be created by "Big tobacco" moles or bored politicians.

Threads are created involving health issues from .... bleeding to nightmares. 99.99 percent of the time the OP states the actual underlying cause of their "vaping" side effect during the intro.

To what end? What purpose would it serve? I can believe it happens, I just cannot figure out how it would serve them.

To be honest, I have viewed a number of posts lately with suspicion, but figured it best to reply to a shill with polite information than to reply to an honestly confused vaper with hostility.

Not to make light of what you are going thru, but it seem you are dealing with a LOT of things all at the same time...... Its all been mentioned through out the thread...... I was working on this earlier and thought it might be relevant.

I ve had more frightening side effects from prescription drugs in the last 5 years........ Dr wanted me to go on Chantix........I asked him about all the psychological side effects..... he listed a whole lot of them...... All of which I was trying to remedy.......

I proceeded to tell him , no thanks....... This image came to mind at the time and I just put it together a few hours ago.....

No hostility here. A little bit of sarcasm followed by a correct generalization with less sarcasm.

Ok - sarcasm. I wasn't attacking you tho - I'm asking a question I'd really like to know -- to what end? for what purpose? I ask because I've had the same thoughts about some posts lately. But I'd still rather err on the side of politeness. :)

Hi JC.....when I started vaping I also had some verrrrrry destrurbing nightmares. It was so bad that often I found myself afraid to go to sleep cause the nightmares were akin to American Horror Story scarey.

What helped me was lowering my nic level & drinking plenty of water. I still have occasionally nightmares but nothing of the same magnitude as before.

I'm asking a question I'd really like to know -- to what end? for what purpose?

When I see posts like this, it always makes me think of the ubiquitous press release. Let's say a car company finds out one of its models has bad breaks. Instead of just recalling the car, which is extremely expensive, they send a carefully prepared press release to the local news stations, showing how this break problem is common, and always the fault of the 3rd party maker of this particular part (which, in this hypothetical story, is a total lie). When they start getting lawsuits, they show the jury the story taped from the news program that aired it, 'informing' the jury how it's not the car company's fault. At least some of what we see on 'the news' are these kinds of prefabricated press releases, intended simply to be used in court at a later date.
In the case of these posts blaming vaping for whatever, I think they are sometimes meant to be used as 'proof' that vaping is bad or harmful. Someone posts a terrible vaping story, then sends a link to that post to their local representative, or anyone else they want to influence for whatever reason. I'm not saying I think this thread was started by such a person, but I do believe it happens a lot around here.

So, it would appear then, that since no one can find anything *real* that's bad to say about e-cigs... now they want to make everyone afraid of... the BOOGIEMAN?!?

I mean seriously, if you're an adult, and you have a nightmare, you wake up, fret about it for a little while... and then get on with your life. Only small children are so terrified of their own DREAMS that it has a major impact on their life. That's what teddybears and mommyhugs are for.

Whereas smokers have a REAL boogieman to contend with... the impending threat of some major illness, a good chance of a much shorter life, and a whole lot of "public health" psychopaths/sociopaths who think they know everything, telling them what to do, and trying their damndest to take away the only thing that has ever delivered any of us from that REAL boogieman.

Do you have any proof of this?

I completely disagree with everything you said here about dreams. I'm not one who ever suffered from nightmares prior to vaping & the kind I had when I started weren't something I could just fret about for a while & get on with life. Yes, my life was impacted because I was terrified to go to sleep so I stayed awake for days at a time until exhaustion knocked me off my feet.
Just because it's something you may not have experienced doesn't mean it's not real or someone has an ulterior motive.
