But the serpent mini like low wattage or need hard setting from 20 watt to over?

This atom is in my whishing list, or was, to substitue the Nautilus mini X and other stuff like the vengeance mini with 0,2 ohms coil, but i want to use it at115-25 watt maximum.
For what it's worth, got my first SM in the mail today. Cleaned it up, built a 29 gauge 2.5m kanthal coil, and wicked. So, I wicked with my normal style of "less is usually better than more" and...wrong answer. Going lite on the wick will cause leaks. Second try I bumped coil up to 3mm diameter to accommodate some additional wicking and it vaped like a champ. The vape is a tad warmer than I usually like but the ease of use (once you figure out what works for you) is going to give the SM a place in my rotation. Flavor excellent, MTL buildable, and economical. No regrets here.
I'm really happy with my mini as a MTL tootler. But how did you get those screws to grab a 29g wire? My first build was a 28g, and it took me forever to lock them down. I actually bought some 26g just to make life easier.
You can read what I do on page 25.....That's a nice trick. Next test on my rebuild for that tank. I also got a a Torx set as that little allen key was adding to my grief.

"I saw on another website someone saying lighter gauge right handed/clockwise coils are easier to mount on the Serpent Mini, so that's what I did for my first coil tonight. Was a breeze indeed. 3mm ID 28awg Kanthal 1.5ohm. This way, with the legs coming down at an angle on the deck, the legs lined up perfectly with the grub screws. All I had to do was hold the coil with the Kuro Coiler and tighten the screws. It was a lot easier than mounting the stock counterclockwise twisted coil, where I had to hold it up in line with the grub screws"
I've tried several wicking methods. Easy to use enough to stop leaks and easy to use too little and cause them. I can't find the happy medium to stop leaks and be able to crank up watts over 17 without dry hits. I'm wicking to the step with organic cotton. My juice is currently 80vg but I have 100vg coming, and vape unflavored. 17w (26g, 3mm ID, 1.5ohm) is fine 95% of the time but sometimes I need a quick fix and want to crank it up and can't. Have to turn to my bachelor nano. Anyone else have the same issue? Is it a limitation of the two small juice slots?
I use 30g Kanthal, and yeah, it's a pain to get the wire trapped. I am going to fold the ends over and twist em, but I'm wondering, will that double wire on the ends affect the ohms?
Very kind of you but I'll stick with cotton for now. I ran a coil that came with it the first day, no problem, but every since I started using mine it either leaks or I get dry hits. Hopefully I'll figure it out this weekend.Cirus, I think its your wicking, I'm running a .46 ohm coil at 21-23 watts with 65vg/35pg liquid, and it's keeping up fine. Have you ever tried rayon for wicking? I have a whole of eternity box from Sally Beauty, and I'm running to the Post Office later if you want me to send you some? Let me know...
Could do that too, but since I'm still using my bachelor nano, which needs thick juice, I'd like to only have one mix, but can't always have it all I guess. I'm used to 65pgNot the solution you're looking for perhaps, but you can always thin your VG with some distilled or demineralized water. I use 7 to 8% myself, but you can use more or less if you desire.
