Hello all , I have been looking around the site and trying to get familiar with everything. My wife and I have recently started the change to the E cigarette . We currently use the 21st century battery(s) and cartage/atomizer(s) and overall are pleased with them . I guess the biggest complaint is the inconsistency in the cartomizers ( as I have learned recently they are called ) , some last as advertised but some only seem to last about half that time. The taste is satisfactory which leads me ( finally ;) ) to the point. I believe we are ready to venture into what seems to be a more economical choice and order/buy the E liquid. Could you recommend a flavor that is close to full flavor tobacco ? We plan to try a few other flavors as time goes by and we get further away from regular cigarettes but I believe something close will help the transition . I have been looking through the suppliers forum and plan to do more research but I would appreciate any advise/help as I hope to try the E liquid sooner rather than later due to the cost differences. Thanks all , Ted.

I do not believe that any e-liqiud can really taste like a cigarette. When I started vaping I went on the Holy Grail search for the liquid that did. I never found it. What I did find is that after a couple of months I no longer liked the smell or taste of cigarettes.

I still like RY4 and DK-TAB, but they don't really taste like cigarettes.

Welcome to the ECF! Like KeysBum says, the exact feeling and flavor you get from a cigarette is difficult to duplicate. Add to that the fact that the taste of juices is subjective, and it gets even more difficult. Purecig from FreedomsSmokeUSA has been one of the closest I've tried, but I haven't had a cigarette in two years, so keep that disclaimer in mind! Liberty-Flights and Goodejuice have some great tobacco flavors to try as well.

I had read somewhere that an analog cigarette contains something close to 500 different types of chemicals, where e-liquids basically containg about 6-8, and that's why you won't find an e-liquid that will taste like an analog cigarette.

Not to mention, there are so many vendors offering so many differents flavors of e-liquids. Before I started vaping, I had been smoking Menthol cigarettes for about 30 years. When I switched, I couldn't WAIT to try a different flavor. Don't be afraid to step out there and experiment a bit!

I too wanted the tobacco flavor but never quite found it. I still do tobacco flavors and RY4 is my mainstay though honey flue tobacco has a nice flavor to it as well. I tried the 555 and DK-TAB though I can't really remember the DK-TAB, 555 was ok. All of my initial buys were from madvapes and I still buy the RY4 from there.

I was also annoyed by the inconsistencies and the solution that has worked well for me is a dual coil carto tank from madvapes. They are inexpensive, consistent, easy to fill, and have made my cartos last for a long time, 4 weeks + now. For trying different flavors though these are not ideal, it would be best to use the drip method on an atomizer and when you find something you like fill up a tank.

The other thing to consider in getting away from cigarettes is the nicotine strength (mg) you are using in your juice. I smoked a pack a day + and 24 mg juice satisfies my urges. Others need more or less so that will be a consideration for you and since there are 2 of you don't forget that what is good for one might not necessarily be what does it for both.

I would buy small quantities of several juices and give the both of you some options before buying bigger amounts.

Good luck to you both and welcome to ECF the place with a smorgasbord of information and the nicest folks on the internet

When I started, all I wanted,as others have said, was a 'real' analog taste and experience too. However the taste is not to be found,I do though discover that I found a new and better taste when I tried some juice from Alien Visions (not a plug),soon after I wondered why I even liked the taste of an analog to begin with.Keep trying different flavors, strengths(important) you will find your niche.Good luck!

Tobacco flavors taste like leaf or chewing tobacco to me, not smoking tobacco. Though some taste like pipe tobacco. Cigarettes don't really have much flavor, and at some point you will notice they taste really bad.

My favorite juice vendors are:
--Backwoods Brew
--VaporStation
-e-SmokeyTreats
--Alien Visions
--FreedomSmokeUSA

With all the choices out there it can be daunting to find the right juice and your tastes will change. I mostly settle on one vendor to make it easier. I won't say which one since you need to discover what is best for you.

Problem # 1 is finding a favorite juice.
Problem # 2 is finding a vendor that makes that type of juice. Unfortunately all vendors mix their juices differently and label as the same- RY4, DKTab, 555, Black Perique, etc.
My fave tobacco flavors are RY4, DKTab, 555, Black Perique and Tobacco Absolute. I also enjoy adding some menthol drops to them for that nice aftertaste and slight extra kick. There is a Cdn vendor that sells amazing tobacco flavors but I DIY all my juices and my ultimate goal is to replicate his tobacco flavors.
Good Luck, Vapoor.

I think the vaping community is unanimous on the fact that no ejuice really tastes like an analog ... the good news is the for the most part ejuice tastes much, much better than a cigarette does, and if you choose the proper nicotine strength for yourself, you can achieve the same "feeling" as smoking an analog, but again not the flavor/taste.

My own journey with juice has been interesting ... I started vaping with no nicotine, then tried 12mg nic juice and hated it because it was too strong, made me cough, gag and weeze ... went back to no nic and a few analogs a day for months, and then a minor miracle occurred recently which included some 6mg Flue cured Tobacco and Whamo Bamo here it is the right nicotine level and juice for me!

While this Flue cured Tobacco 6mg taste nothing like a cigarette, in terms of throat hit and real cig "feeling" inhale/exhale, this juice feels to my throat the way my analogs do, so finally I have found a suitable and satisfying replacement for analogs. And the taste is so lovely and pleasant!

So search for a ejuice/nic juice that best satisfies the level of throat hit that you desire, and embrace the fact that ejuice for the most part taste far more pleasant than cigarettes do.

It may not taste exactly like the brand of cigarette you smoked, but with some experimentation you can find one that's as good as if not better than your brand.

I did a ton of research and read all the reviews and purchased juice before I even got my pv. I smoked Newport and saw nhalers nuport recommended a lot from long time vapors and ordered it and loved it- still vaping it.

My sister smoked marlboro and finds Vapor Station Tampa very similiar to her cigs.

Same with my mom, BWB juices work for her.

Sure you won't get one idential to your cigarette. You couldn't even duplicate your cig brand with another cig brand. But you can find one close or that will satisfy you.

I hope this doesn't prevent new people from trying vaping by telling them they'll never find anything like their cigarette. That was a big big part of why I tried vaping.

Does my juice taste like my cigarette? I honestly don't remember what a cig tastes like anymore. I just knew almost immediately that it was a juice that was going to work to get me off cigarettes. I knew liquid wasn't going to taste exactly like my cigarette the same way that yogurt doesn't taste like apple pie. But enough of the flavors were there for me that it was an acceptable alternative.

If I had asked if anything would taste like my newports and people posted 'nope, not gonna happen' I probably wouldn't have tried vaping.

While I agree with the above posts, there is a juice that I have tried that is the closest I have found to burning tobacco. It's Vapenstein's blend London from want2vape. I got some a few months ago and it really surprised me how close it comes. It's a pipe tobacco juice, but it doesn't really taste like pipe tobacco to me. Turns out, I don't really like that taste anymore, so I don't really like it. If you'd like, PM me and I'll send the bottle to you, if you want to try it. I won't ever use it, so better it goes to a good home.
