Would removing some wick fibers improve flow to the atty

Hi,

Am about to clean 5 attys, and have recently found that one or 2 of them have intermittent issues of e-liquid flow to the atty.

Would removing some of the wick strands, effectively "thinning" the wick improve the flow to the coil and increased the vapour, etc. that can be drawn?

What would be the downsides of this?

I think it might actually make it worse. More wick means more liquid getting to the coil. It will burn more. Removing wick material will increase the draw(suck).

It would be safer to thin your juice.

Aaah, some valid points raised! Fair enough and thanks for the advice! Will give diluting a try instead!
