And I'm not referring to the mouse with the blue ears..... umm.... I'll leave the fancy cosmetic mods like that to professionals such as "Hippo Hoogie".... {/snicker}

Remove batteries..... OK, that's about as far as I've gotten on a flashlight mod!

I have an opportunity to get some flashlights without the led but with circuit board and bottom switch.

The tubes are mostly black or polished stainless but are made specifically for 16340's, 14500's and 18650's and have the on/off switch at the bottom..

They'll probably sell for about $12- $15 each..

Personally I'd love to work with some of them but before ordering I was wondering if you guys be interested in products like that for modding?

.dumb question but i am new to this. so with all these flashlights taht have just been posted, you can make them a Mod? and what volt would they be? is there anything special to look for when looking for flashlight?

It's pretty much whatever you like and fits the battery you want.. most of them end up at 3.7 volts but the longevity of use is greatly improved over regular batts. Lot of new 5 volt stuff coming out with flashlights also using two smaller batteries in series..

I'd like to see one with a button on the side or room for a button and leave the bottom for main on/off. I finally got the 2 dollar mod working and didn't solder a bit lol.
