Clearly you missed the point of the thread. It was not to PROVE anything.

The purpose of the post was to get peoples OPINION. Would you spend the extra cash on a ProVari yes or No. We don't have to prove anything. Each person puts a different value on things.

For you it's not worth the extra scratch...no problem.

For me it is...still no problem.

We are still in subjective territory. But when you attempt to backup your statement with inaccurate statements, like the VTR is cheaper and better.....with absolutely no evidence to back it up....

Ultimately the OP will make up his own mind and will have his own reasons. Reasons which are not yours and not mine, but his.

oh so now OPINION matters when i disprove your FACTS?
but when i state FACTS you call them OPINIONS and therefore discredit them
your a hypocrite to the exact definition of the word
i didn't now the VTR being cheaper was inaccurate btw
pretty damn sure it is.
What more facts do you want?
half the cost, more range in regulation and does VV and VW. strong build, no one can deny that.

it is unnoticeable
you cannot honestly tell me you can literally taste the difference in such small increments
you can see it on the meter yes
but can you taste it? no

But you just stated in an earlier post that VW was better because it takes into account those subtle differences and rounding errors that the "chip" takes into account but that we humans don't......

Can't have it both ways.

My point exactly. I NEVER said the provari wasn't quality, just pricey. Too pricey IMO

If you want to compare the Provari to a VTR or lavatube, then you can say pricey, but the first mod you brought up was the hana modz which cost more than a Provari.

Do you have a dna 20/30 device?

no i was saying that VV and VW wont be exactly the same because of this. READ
never ever said VW was better, just more accurate because one of you pro provari people said accuracy was such an issue

Exactly. Again Provari's are good mods. But better and cheaper are out there

Provari's are great mods. Are there better mods? Depends on what your vaping style is, if you vape under 15 watts you cannot beat a Provari, if you vape over that, then get a DNA 20/30 device. IMHO.

i agree to an extent. there will ALWAYS be some homemade mods that will ALWAYS be better than ANY mod on the market. and the VTR is better IMO than provari

You have repeatedly displayed your inability to distinguish fact from opinion...(e.g. no one can taste the difference between .1 to .2 volts when others including my self have told you otherwise). You have provided no facts whatsoever other than an VTR is less expensive and greater amperage range, which I have already conceded.

I believe that the ProVari is worth the extra money. I have based this opinion on the FACT that I have purchased two of them and on the FACT that they are the most accurate regulated mod on the market (until someone can provide clear proof otherwise), Have the most comprehensive warranty available and are the only device to have post warranty support.

Good day.

I bought my First-Gen ProVari used about 3 years ago and it's held up awesomely and it's one of those simple, well-engineered, heavy-in-your-hand but not overly large things that you buy and never have to replace. If I did have to replace it though, because "never" is an exaggeration that I can't prove, I would buy another one so long as it (THIS one) lasted me another 2-4 years, and I have no reason to believe it won't. That'd be my rule for dropping $180-200 on something in the modern era with so much competition to try; certainly evaluating the clone and $50-100 range is worth considering always, but I don't see myself getting into mech.

I couldn't imagine shelving it for anything else for the long term, but if money were no object I'd certainly buy a handful of other devices. As it is, I'm pretty pleased using the ProVari as my primary flavor in a 3ml tank, and another eGo or two with alternating flavors.

Like a nice, simple, elegant watch. As simple as the design is, it did leave impact in other designs seen to this day, deviated in certain ways but reminiscent to be sure. It's never slipped out of my hands despite being smooth and pleasant to hold.

I believe I only paid $20 or so below retail but it came with an 18650 and 18500. I immediately got several more IMR 18650s (it definitely doesn't like cheap non-IMRs) and it's been a solid pro.

I don't need any more horsepower than it provides, hanging around 9W as my throat can only take so much, probably because I prefer rounds of chain vaping and use smoother VG juices that are deceiving as they slowly dry me out...

As of late I'm in an Aerotank and iClear XI phase. The smooth, constant hit of pretty solidly continuous power combined with a BDC tank has made me quite happy as of late. Getting close to getting a Kayfun. I think the ProVari definitely shines for tank fans, and I mainly reserved my direct dripping in the past to the box mods, one unregulated but just 3.7V.

My life cycle was basically NJOY and Blu cigalike (2009 era, $80-100 each FCL!) > various eGos with Boge or Atomizers > 3.7 and 5V box mods > ProVari. At the time I got the ProVari the big boys were considered the ProVari, the Reo, and the Darwin, or at least those are what I remember and they all live on in various ways :) I definitely found the "user interface" of the Darwin to be nifty in the wrong ways that made it seem like an awkward gadget.

I lost my ProVari in a move back in September 2013 and finally found it, and it was a happy reunion. In the process I'd accumulated several eGo Twist batteries, which I have found to be super-reliable (and four different variations / "knock-offs") compared to what I was buying in 2009-2010, those often lasted 2-3 months tops and my twists are going far beyond that.

In today's era starting out I probably would've been happy with an iTaste MVP, but the ProVari has taken a hell of a beating. Can't tell you how many Boge cartomizer threads I removed from the connector over the years, breaking them off in my pocket here and there, and dropping the device like a klutz frequently on concrete, often while getting out of the car...d'oh. ADHD to the max, I've finally developed the habit after several years of not having a PV sitting in my lap half of the time I'm sitting...

So it's a complicated decision likely to involve losing money on other things first and deciding to take the leap. I don't think I'd regret it but I'd probably have to burn $200 in today's era on other stuff before it appealed to me, not knowing firsthand what it would be like in that parallel universe :)

I definitely spent well over twice its value buying hordes of other stuff first, and spare parts in a "assume everything will fail and have extras" strategy before deciding to go with a more solid "buy what clearly has a high reputation and sells for just 5-10% below retail used because of the demand."

Thats a great comparison, for Provari's vs blu. There are mods out there with SUPERIOR vaping than the provari and many that have similar quality for less.
What are the superior mods? So far I have seen you mention the VTR, lavatube, and DNA 20/30 devices( which ones by the way, most are more expensive than the Provari). I think most would agree that the VTR and lavatube are not superior (cheaper yes). So when you say superior, exactly which device are you talking about? Which DNA 20/30 device are you referencing?

oh "you get it" end of discussion?
great FACTS there
thats not SUBJECTIVE at all.
The phrase, "Now I get it" is taken from PBusardo's review of the Provari. He had the same view as you prior to making the review. And after using the Provari for a given amount of time he uttered the above phrase to begin his review. It has become one of, if not his favorite, mod for personal use. For someone who has his pick of practically any mod in the market, he chooses a Provari and a Kayfun. If it is so outdated with inferior circuitry and power, why would he pick a Provari? Because he gets it.

My point is both subjective opinions and objective facts have been discussed throughout this thread on why the Provari is worth it to owners. You have been blind and deaf in hearing this testamony. Why should we sweat what you think at this point because when all is said and done you won't have changed your mind no matter what is said. Your mind was made up from the beginning and nothing that anyone will say can change your mind.

I'll leave you with this link. It is blog that I wrote about the Provari. Facts and figures. I also included at least a dozen links to previous threads about the Provari with multiple testamonials about topics like the durability of the Provari, Provape's outstanding customers support, why the Provari is more expensive, and is the Provari still worth the money. The answers to your question is all in that blog. I'm not going to explain why because the reasons are many, and I'm not going to waste my time further by spoon feeding you the information.

I seriously doubt that you'll even click a link, as your mind is already made up.

Why Provari?

Again the VTR is better in almost every aspect except weight and depending on your aesthetics. AGAIN cheaper doesn't mean will break more often. And I dont spend money on my own labor. Parts? like soldering wire and a torch? Which everyone with a mod should have

Really? How do you figure? They both have the same power limitation. The Provari is five times more accurate in voltage output and has a flat DC like signal because of its 800 Hz PWM vs the VTR PWM of 60 Hz. Its great that you like to tinker, but almost all people I know, when they buy something, they expect it to work as advertised with no tinkering involved.

DO YOU READ?? ALL the hana modz. the new VTR. The lavatube. And most any mod with a DNA20 or DNA30 chip.

If you are a high wattage regulated vaper, then yes, a DNA 30 mod is better because you can vape at 30 watts, but this fails your "half the price of a Provari" argument.

ANY dna20 or dna30 device is better. its a better chip. i know many many people who agree the VTR is better than the provari

if you cant fix something SIMPLE you own when it breaks/malfunctions etc. then you should not own it.

oh, please.jpg

Taking apart a mod is not something that myself, or most other vapers, has any intention or ability to do. You're really starting to sound silly now.

If my camera stops working, I take it to the camera shop to have a professional fix it. Same with my television or my car. I don't know enough about these appliances to be able to tear them down and figure out whats wrong. That's what professionals are for.

Gee I might be in the minority here but I want a device I pay my money for to work as advertised and I certainly don't expect to have to fix it

Why Provari?

Just because he uses it, it is better?
i sure celebrities drive old outdated cars when there is better ones today, are they better because someone well known uses them
idc about personal anecdotes and stories because they will ALWAYS be biased. ALWAYS.
the provari puts the excess cost in unnecessary accuracy and marketing.
