Would you list yourself as a nonsmoker on a Internet dating site??

And telling people you smoke when don't smoke is a great way to scare off a huge number of potential dates

I'd rather they were scared off beforehand than going away ...... because I lied (and whether vaping advocates like to be labelled that way or not, to the majority of the general public, we ARE smokers) . At least I wouldn't have wasted my time and money on them.

Telling them that I'm on the north side of 300lbs will run off a lot of potential dates, too- but I'd rather meet the ones that are actually OK with who I am.

And that is why I would list myself as a nonsmoker. I do not inhale smoke nor do I use any tobacco products. The general public be damned. If they are too hard headed or uneducated to see it differently then so be it. I do NOT smoke. There is no combustion going on in my PV and by simple analysis I cannot possibly be inhaling smoke. It is not that hard to figure out.

Like I said, If I were searching, it would be to find somebody- not to evangelize. If they have issues with vaping- as you said, public be damned. I just don't see wasting an evening and buying them a $50 dinner to find out.

Heck, even within the community, there is disagreement on whether of not what we do is considered smoking. To most non-smokers, we are smokers. Why set yourself up for failure?

IMO: The most likely reasons someone would exclude smokers (vs. non-smokers) as potential dating candidates would be:
they don't like being around cigarette smoke (irritation, smell, health concerns w/second-hand smoke)...also, the perpetual SMELL that permeates a smoker's environment (car, clothes, hair, etc.) and other unpleasant traits/effects of smoking (smoker's breath, yellow teeth).

I could add more, but I think those are probably the main ones.
The above aren't issues with vaping, though (as far as I know). So if I had to select one or the other, I'd go with "Non-Smoker".

Also, with "Smoker" in your profile, those Smokers are going to gravitate toward you.
I, for one, have NO desire to be around a lit cigarette. I really can't stand the smell...during or after.

Just my 2 cents. : )
