Would you still buy a ProVari if Big Tobacco acquired ProVape?

No.

1) I refuse to support BT, even if they are technically US companies.
2) I don't believe the device would be of the same quality if the components were outsourced to China.
3) I choose to support small companies that take pride in the products they produce.
4) If I could buy all of my gear from US companies I would. I can't with clearos and such, but I do with mods. With the exception of a Vamo (manufacturer unknown) and BoBo (sigelei) all of my mod are made in the USA:

To be honest, if BT bought out the present owners of ProVape, and continued making the Provaris at the same location and to the same high standards I would buy from them. If they just took the name and plans, outsourced to Asia with the standard requirement of "Make it like this but as cheaply as possible" then they can kiss my feet! (or other applicable body part). Small fish are eaten by bigger fish, then even bigger fish eat them, etcetera...
The way Provape is going, with their established customer base and the hobby taking off, they will continue to do very well in their niche market. Unless the government torpedoes us all and we get sold to the highest bidder! Then all bets are off..

I'm about 99% sure that neither side is interested in that deal.
ProVape doesn't serve the mass market BT wants.

I wouldn't be so sure about that..

Lorillard/blu's sales of cigalikes have stalled & they're barely operationally profitable, per recent Lorillard earnings calls.. And these are the guys who own about 45-50% of the cigalike market..

More & more smokers have been skipping over the cigalikes & going straight to the eGo-types.. I believe NJOY or somebody recently mentioned that they're going to be introducing an eGo-type soon.. People are realizing that cigalikes are yesterday's news & ineffective & that there are much better options widely available & more cost-effective...

In other words, our half of the vaping world is where the growth & profits are to be had.. and BT will be competing via FDA regulation & attempting to force smaller vape companies into their open arms...

Basically, if they can't compete in the market on their own, then they run to government & get them to do their dirty work.. This is nothing new to all kinds of industries...
