where you could take out the polyfill, dip it in some juice, and then reinsert into the carto? would make filling the carto much easier.

That's just a recipe for a mess! I can see getting all that crap all over myself. Really, cartos are easy enough to fill. If you need something easier, get a carto tank.
You might as well skip taking out the filler and dip the whole thing in there and just wipe off the housing.
Do a search for 'cartomizer fillinator' (hopefully I spelled that right). You might like that method of filling.
With a go-go cartomizer you could do what you described. I've taken the wet filler out of one cartomizer and put it into a new one (flavor was dead on the old one). It's really messy though and I wouldn't want to do it as a regular filling method.
