Well, I had a huge scare last week, I think I used all of my luck dodging that bullet! But glad you're OK and still with us!
Actually, you have a point,i guess i was lucky there. If i had been 2 seconds sooner getting to that intersection,it would have been a competely different outcome, because they would have slammed into my drivers side door which wouldn't of turned out so well.

Heres a question for you all. I am getting my first rebuilables coming in and have no experience building coils so I want your advise/recommendations. What gauge wire do you work with what does the gauge affect in a coil?

I typically use 28g or 26g for my rba/RDAs. I'm using 30g for my PT2 heads - about 7 wraps on a 1/16" bit lands me around 1.6ohms.

I build my RBA/RDAs on 2.5-3.0 mm jigs. Often single coils - once in a while, I get frisky and wire up duallies. The only time I get below 0.5 is if I'm coiling with Ni200. I'm going to grab some SS in 28g, since I've been reading that it's somewhat interchangeable with kanthal.

Some of the newer mods can play TC with SS, but my understanding is that SS will also work in VV/VW mode (which is what most of my mods are.)

Always be thankful for that!

I've been thinking of trying ss too.I've seen alot of people on here raving about it,so i'll probably give it a try just to see if it's that much better.

Yes i have heard about the hype about ss too.

Sent from my ONE A2003 using Tapatalk
I figure it may be good. When people first started raving about rayon,i held back for quite a while, because i didn't figure it could be that much different from cotton,so i just kept ignoring it,then finally figured why not,i'll give it a shot.I've used no other wick material since haha,so maybe ss will become my new kanthal haha.

Are you talking about the "cellucotton" from Sally's?

I have been wanting to try that, gonna have to go get some:)
You won't be dissapointed. It can be a little tricky at first to get it wicked right, but once you do,it is fantastic.I don't get that off taste from a fresh wick like i always got with cotton, and it will last alot longer. When i used cotton,i was rewicking about every 2 days, with rayon,i can usually go about 2 weeks depending on the juice i use at the time and how bad it gunks the coils.

Me too! After using rayon, I'll never go back to cotton.
Yeah,i've seen a few people say they couldn't tell a difference, but after a few months of using it,i decided to try cotton again, and it lasted about 2 minutes before i pulled it back out and put some rayon in haha.
