So, someone want to explain the difference in vertical and horizontal coils on an RDA for me?

I'm getting the itch to build some verticals but have no real reason.

@MoonLit_Water maybe you could chime in? I see you are or were around.
i never did a vertical build don't know of the advantages or disadvantages of one versus the other.

Most of you know that we have been hanging on for several weeks while my husbands mawmaw fought for and clung to her life.

We just got the call. Last night she lost that fight.

I do not think we will be able to make it to TN for the funeral and no matter how many time he says he is ok I know my husband needs all the prayers we can muster while he deals with her passing as well as not being able to get to Bristol.

Thank you for your support and understanding while I am focused on him and his family
Im right there with ya babe... Bristol is where i need to be too... It's just so far away. Im sorry for your loss...

Thank you. I have spent more time then I should have today watching youtube videos on them. What I never found out is WHY. Is the flavor batter? Is the wicking better? Is it easier to drip? Is there any advantages or is it "just because" kind of thing.

I just rewrapped yesterday so I'm not in dire need or anything. Was bored and reading / watching some and thought about giving it a whirl, but couldn't come up with a good enough reason to rip out my perfectly good coils to do so. I thought maybe I was missing something.

it will only be more effective if the coil sits directly over the air intake so the air is drawn through the center of the coil I think otherwise it would be the same wouldn't it ?

Depends on the atty. If im building off center with the afc a little restricted. I like vertical builds. This one is on my atty cube. I have to build it a certain way so when i vape i dont cover the air holes with my thumb. IMHO they are easier to drip with and as the wick gunks up i just pull and cut vs a total rewick.

Not sure, that is kind of what I was thinking.

I was going to build on the Velocity, but the air flow is from the side and not the bottom. So, I was then going to build on the Kennedy that has bottom air flow, but when I got it out I remembered how much I hated the over dripping.

So, I stepped away for a few minutes and thought I'd ask here.

Appreciate it. Maybe it's just something I need to do and see how I like it.

Perhaps in a few days I'll give it a whirl.
