I still like my Pro tanks... I have a G50 on order, we'll see how that does as well. They are easy, they are convenient, and they work. I haven't have any problems with any of mine, going on 90 days of vaping this time around.
I have to look into the Davide Tank, I've heard a lot of good things about them.

I figure all of these things are fairly disposable anyway. Would I be upset if I only got 10 days of use out of one? Yup. But after 90 days, and them getting me off of analogs, I figure it was money well spent.

The American public decided a long time ago that it prefers price to quality. Wal-Mart and it's ilk have only hastened that along.
I used to be a clock maker. But no one wants to pay 45.00 to clean a clock when a new one is cheap.

I would rather live in a hollow log, in the woods, and eat bark before I give walmart any money!

I take my watch to a local jeweler or clock maker when I need a battery changed. Personally I would rather save and buy the quality product I can have for years over something cheap that its only intended propose was to get me to part with my money.

Todays products remind me of the carnival barkers I met as a kid. They would talk me in to throwing a ball or dart or something give me 20 cents of a prize for a dollar.

Here are some vendors that I use if this helps: FastTech - Gadgets and Electronics , www.thevaporroom.net , Indy's Premier Vapor Shop - Best Stock - Best Variety , www.discountvapors.com , and Mr Vape Inc. Electronic Cigarettes .

Fast tech pros and con's. Pros: awesome unbeatable prices, 90 money back. Con: their delivery time sucks. Made my order on 8/16 and it just got into San Francisco on Sat. I live in Indy. They deal with other electronic items so you have to type what you are looking for in the search bar.

The Vapor Room: On the ball staff. With your first order you get a free 15ml juice of your choice. Delivery with in 3-5 days. My taste buds are not sensitive at all so my next order I will have extra flavor shots done.

Indy Vapor Shop: easy to navigate web sight, fairly priced, juices are 70/30 but are real good. They do have shipping. They are my go to B&M since they are about 3 miles from my house.

Discount Vapors: to be discounted I found their prices on about 75% of their merchandize to be about the same as everywhere else. Great delivery time.

Mr. Vape: Has a helluva deal going on juice. At least they did. Two 30ml bottles of juice of your choice (excluding premium) for 17.99 and with each order you get a sample juice. They to have awesome delivery

I don't mind if a product I buy takes a little bit of work (maintenance) to keep it going. In my hobbies (scale models, wood working, electronics, and RC...) I'm used to precision work and fixing things.

It always surprises me to see what people throw out, without attempting to repair it, but I'm also surprised to see the wide variety of quality in our products (or lack of). I usually aim for the 2nd cheapest of things I buy, after ruling out the junk and depending on how long I care to fiddle with it. If I can throw it in the dishwasher safely (as it applies), that's a big plus. I've learned to separate poorly built things that will not last, so whatever 2nd best item I buy, it usually falls within my expectations.

Buzz that theory might work if we all had a built in Consumer crystal ball. No one does. The chain, working backward, is the Consumer, who bought from the Vendor, who got it from the Manufacturer. Whoever made it the consumer goes back to the place they bought it when there is a problem. And the place they bought it from suffers if the place they got it from made a bad product. Saying that we are either too dumb to not expect products to be crap or we should accept crap when it happens "because that's the way it ls" is simply bad form. Defective China mods have been recalled. A defective PT might not be as dangerous, but it's still defective.

I say you get what you pay for if you buy cheap expect cheap to expect anything else is not dumb but more accurately described as stupidity IMO.

This is not a new concept but some people have to relearn this lesson constantly through out their life. I never said all China mods are bad and all others are the best. I simply stated a generalized observation that consumers tend to reach for the cheapest item with out giving regard to value in quality at a higher price. Then complain about their bad choice and or blame it on the person who sold it to them.

I guess to sum it up it boils down to personal responsibility. Its your money and your responsibility to spend it wisely and get the best value for your buck.

When it comes to ecig stuff it seem to me there is 50 crappy products for every 1 decent and 100 crappy for every exceptional product. I think it will remain the same until we the consumers demand different threw our spending habits.

Being a fairly new product lends to the poorly made stuff also. When someone first starts vaping they have no clue as to whats good and whats crap so we see alot of opportunistic vendors selling the crap with fancy adds and pics. I think if vaping sticks around for awhile alot of the crap will start to fade out.

Are we completely off-topic yet :p

What food grade silicone would work well here?

I've worked with silicone sealers before, and while they work well, I've always struggled with the application.
The stuff sold at aquarium stores. If it won't kill fish, it won't kill you. Fish are very sensitive that way.

From Viper Vape , Dear Customer , we have already packaged your mini protank replacement and it will be shipped tomorrow morning. We are the only company that would do this because we actually care about our customers. No company even has a 30 day return policy accept for us . Every other company in this business is a DOA only replacement policy. Have a great day vaping friends and hopefully you come back to shop. We are just a small family run business and its hard to please everyone but we sure try our best.
PS You were emailed this above info within minutes after you emailed us, please check your email. Thank you

Now that's stepping up. Things happen, it's what happens after they happen that makes things good or bad.

Im glad everyone is so happy with their Chinese products. While I empathize with every one I have little sympathy why would someone stand behind a product that was manufactured as cheaply as possible. As a whole we value price over quality. There are quality tanks made for the the coils used in Pro and Evod tanks but they cost 30$ but it will not break when dropped and will not designate after time.

To me customer service is a quick response when I have a question. Ships quickly and helps me out if I have trouble making something work.

If the manufacturer dose not stand behind their product why should the vendor?

I think the saying if you point the finger three point back is applied here. You full and well bought a cheaply made product now your scream foul. IMO the fault lies more with the buyer than the vendor.

Seriously? It's my fault because I purchased a product manufactured in china like most vape equipment?
I don't think so.
Hope on behalf of all American-based retailers that you put your money where your mouth is and stay away from Wal-Mart.

If REI sold protanks manufactured here in the U.S. I'm sure we'd all be on board to pay three times the price, and I would still expect it replaced given similar circumstances.

Edit: I still can't believe a fellow vaper just called me stupid for buying a Protank.

A. It looks like your replacement is on it's way.

B. That I think was actually a more general statement on this consumer mentality based society, where we value price over quality.

We buy cheap stuff, and expect it to be quality, but we know it isn't the best, but we hope it's good enough, and get upset when it isn't. In most cases, if there is a manufacturers warranty, you return it to the manufacturer (on your dime).
Most retailers try to do that for you because they try to make you happy. But they are sometimes hung out to dry by their supplier when they do. (especially if they order through a distributor, that gets it from a distributor... etc...)

I did not call you stupid it was a generalization from a separate post not aimed ant anyone. If you take it personal that's on you. I have not been to walmart in lots of years.

I 100% support you in vaping but slandering the reputation of a vendor because you bought a cheep made product is not very cool IMO.

This is nice to hear; I had already deleted my account with you, so I didn't receive any email and didn't check the site as I considered the matter resolved after your initial communication.

Thank you very much
I am sincerely appreciative of your consideration.

I hope that you and all these other U.S. vendors are leaning hard on Kanger for credit on the original protanks.

You will henceforth find me a loyal and enthusiastic customer for as long as you are in business.

No one did any slander. The facts stated were pretty straightforward.

And I'm still lost of your definition of "cheap". A less expensive T3s isn't cheap because it works and a more expensive PT that falls apart is cheap... because we had it coming anyway?

Perhaps you should revisit the auto industry in the US during the late 70's early 80's to appreciate the difference between poorly made at any price and cheap.

Glad the OP got satisfaction. And... I'm done.

You silly person, it was pixies! Haven't you seen the dust they leave everywhere?

That's funny, I was told they were created by the Keebler elves as part of their corporate diversification.
