With the advent of email, suddenly everyone is expected to be working around the clock, 365 days a year. Instantaneous responses to emails are demanded, even if the original complaining email was not sent until late in the evening.

Most people I know work 8-5, Monday-Friday. They are not on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When they go home in the afternoon, they are done til morning, and if it is Friday afternoon, not til Monday morning.

My understanding is that the staff at V4L work normal business hours and then go home to their families. They get to have their dinner at home, and might even take in a movie if they are so inclined. Some of them even sleep during the night. They even are known to go on vacation sometimes.

Why are there expectations that a customer service rep is going to be online around the clock to handle issues? Even if there MIGHT be a CSR up and answering emails at 3 o'clock in the morning, the United States Postal Service is not open and running, so any hoped for replacement product cannot be shipped until regular business hours.

A little restraint and patience is all it takes to get a timely, positive and helpful email response from any customer service rep.

There is no need to email customer service about an issue and then to immediately make a post here on the forum about the same issue without waiting for a response from customer service.

Sending an email to customer service and then making a post here "just making it known" sounds like there might be deeper issues at work here, and I seriously don't think that anyone at V4L is qualified to handle those issues.

I guess we can use this time to remind each other of our common goal...

TO STOP SMOKING.

Let's all keep this is mind before being so MEAN to each other.

Some of these posts and threads are downright unnecessary (I will be the first to throw myself on the fire for this) and plain mean.

Let's try and remember what it was like when we first got to ECF for a minute.

That's right! Vaping instead of smoking, is the mission! Now lets al sit around and sing a rousing "kum by ya!"

I realize I was a bit out of line earlier in posting, and I want to apologize. I know it's not my place to get angry about threads like this, but I'm sick of coming to the forums to read about advice and success stories, and getting bogged down with all the whining posts. I know I can't change the way things are, and there will always be whiners in every place that allows communication.

I guess I'm just getting older and more cranky every day. Yesterday I got ...... off because I found it incredibly rude that there was a group of young teenagers in the row behind me and the wife at the theater, and they just kept talking and kicking our seats throughout the whole movie. I turned around at the end of the movie and before I even got a chance to get a whole sentence out, the kids ran out when they saw the look in my eyes. My wife told me to just let it go, but I paid money for a good movie experience, and rude kids ruined it for me.

Ironman II is definitely worth watching though.
