The last few times I went to refill my KST, I noticed when I was going to unscrew it from my IPVD3, that it seemed loose, even though I was sure I snugged it up. Additionally, I noticed a small amount of leakage, pretty much confined to the area around the connector, but not down IN the connector. The last time I went to refill it, instead of the entire bottom coming off, just the part below the coil came off that has the airflow. Now when I put it back together the airflow ring just spins around freely and is very loose. It still functions normally, but the airflow ring is so loose I can almost set it spinning with a flick.

Any ideas?

The base is 2 parts (Not counting the airflow control ring) that are are threaded together. It sounds like yours may have the threading stripped. You can try screwing it back together tightly but if that doesn't work you'll need to buy a new base. They're around $9.

Here's a short video showing how the base comes apart and can be reassembled.

Well, that blows. I had just outfitted it with the black o-rings to have it match my black mod, now, it seems I might as well buy a new one, even though it is technically still working. :(

Make sure you Grab the Base from now on. The tank didn't come apart on its own. Improper grip location loosened the sections.
Do not over tighten to the Mod either. Snug is tight enough. To tight and the Mod fights releasing the tank - again, loosening the wrong section.

Good luck with the replacement.

My subtank is bent from getting out of the car and watching it hit the ground, it didn't break but now it sits crooked and the base will separate when I remove to refill. That little ball bearing I heard dance across my table along with that micro spring. I was lucky to find the bearing and spring but owell after 3 years of vaping that was my 2nd accident, first was my PT/sentinel fall over then roll off a counter onto a concrete floor and smash the glass (it all happened in slow motion and could do nothing but watch).

Here's one for you subtank enthusiasts out there.

I use the rebuildable head with mine and if the tank isn't tight enough on my mod the ohms go from .8ish up to 1.7ish. I go to take a vape and I get a hot hit and slightly burnt taste. I look at the display and see 1.7 or a little higher or lower. I tighten up tank a little and it goes right back down to .8 and it vapes fine. It only does this when the tank is slightly loose. Now I just developed a quick tightness check and all is fine, I'm just wondering why it does that.

One more thing, it never does this with a premade factory coil.
