My wife uses X2 batteries exclusively...mostly in passthru mode. She takes them off the cord at bedtime or when going out and about...and it's cold and snowy, so we don't go out much right now.

Anyway, she has a half dozen or so 650mAh batteries that have worked flawlessly for at least 7 months. The adapter is 2 amp. Lately, the batteries have been running out (blinking) even when plugged in. We have tried swapping adapters and cords, and the end light on the batteries are lit, so we know it is getting power. The full discharge has happened on 3 separate batteries. The end light does not seem to go out (indicating a full charge) at any time while in use (while vaping) which also seems different.

Granted the batteries are getting up in age, but it seems strange that it's happened to 3 batteries in just a couple of days. The discharged batteries seem to charge back up when charged without vaping, but can't be sure they are truly fully charged.

Is this just a sign that the batteries are wearing out, or am I missing some other remedy?

She must have bought them at the same time as mine since a few of mine are doing the same. I would think it's age. Batteries do lose a tiny bit of life for each charge. Just make sure to have a proper burial.

After 18 months we are well versed in giving the proper last rites...usually involves a wake with lots of good liquor.

Another possibility. She uses the same Kanger T2 (1.8ohm) for about a week, then I swap the coil for a new one. It is possible that this coil is lower ohm (bad QC) and thus draining all of her batteries...at least it's another thing to check. I think I will swap the coil before I notify the next of kin.

Well, first........leaving a battery plugged in is likely bad for it. When you leave a laptop always plugged in, the battery goes to hell at some point and then you will not be able to remove the laptop from the wall outlet or it will die. Although the X2s can be used as a pass-thru, I am pretty sure there isn't a "mode". You are charging your battery and "can" use it but it isn't a true pass-thru and you are always charging your battery.

Also, 7 months isn't a bad run for the batteries. They could last longer but see paragraph #1
