Sitting down, facing forward.
A charge indicator that doesn't go out after eight hours would seem to indicate one of three things -

1 - The battery is not fully charged or not coming up to full charge.

2 - There is something wrong with the charge controller inside the battery itself.

3 - The external charger is not supplying five volts when "loaded" by the battery.

You didn't mention what size X2, but I am guessing a 900. I would estimate that after eight hours, even if it was "dead" and not producing any vapor, it would have full charged. After eight hours it should have received at least the equivalent of 2+ charges worth of power.I really think opening a ticket with CS would be the best thing to do.

Just my opinion, worth what you're paying for it, your results and mileage may vary, no warrantee or guarantee is expressed or implied.

yep,,,,,,,,,,their tickets aren't working,,,,,,,

I opened one last night and was going to "update" it rather than open a new one,,,,,,,,,it says to email them, but I'll wait a few hours simply because it seems easier to update the ticket rather than emailing and explaining LOL,,,if their tickets aren't fixed, I'll email :)

hum, wondering if it could be my external charger,,,,,,,it's new, not SI (forgot to order one, so DH went out and got me a 5 volt 2 amp external charger).

I could test that by charging in my car with my car charger that IS SI,,,,,,,,,,

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Might going to try that today LOL

That would definitely eliminate the charger as a suspect in the problem.

well, my 900 charged for 8 hours and I got 4 hours of usage from it before it died,,,,,

I think there's a problem somewhere,,,,,,might be the wall charger though.

but that is longer than I thought it was,,,,,,,,thanks for the info.

Yeah I thought my 1300 was fubared. It is my favorite bat. I plug it in about midnight. Wake up at 7. It is done by 7:30. Perfect timing for me.

I think my charger might not be enough,,,,,,I forgot to order one from SI (duhhhhhhhhh) so I am using one my husband bought me,,,,,it says 5 volt 1.0-1.5 amps.

I'm wondering if it doesn't get up to 1.5 amps,,,,,,,,,the box says to use a 2.0 compatible device.

so now I'm searching for one, and not finding any,,,,,,,might just be ordering one from SI and paying for 2 day shipping again LOL. Still cheaper than what I'm finding,,,,,

well, be careful,,,,,,I got another charger with the right volts and whatnot,,,,,,,,charged it some 10 hours,,,,,and still won't hold a charge and NOW it sounds like rice krispies ALL BY ITSELF. It's in a metal trash can ALONE because my husband freaked out.

sigh, back to my 78mms.

sorry to hear that holly.

like i said in another thread, with china made products,,it's Russian roulette....

yeah,,,,,,considering the thousands of things SI sells, I hear of relatively few issues. I've bought things from Walmart I have to return because they don't work right,,,,,it's life. At LEAST I have 78mms to get by with until SI sends a new one,,,,,,,it's nice to know there won't be any problems returning it for a new one though,,,,SI stands behind stuff.

Not to be a spoiled sport here but if you read the fine print on the SI site you will find that if you use anything other than the SI chargers you void your warranty. So if you chose to buy from somewhere else don't post it or you will be busted by your own admission. Remember your 5th amendment rights to self incrimination, you have the right to remain silent and anything you say can and will be used against you to void your warranty! Just Sayin
