Hi everyone!

So there's a huge problem. I bought a new X6 starter kit, and of course I used it for about 1-2 hours. Then I put it to charge, but after 4-5 hours of charging, the Battery's led changed to Red, and I don't know why. I know one thing, it should turn to a blinking purple colour when it's fully charged, and the charger's led was also red, and it should turn to green when it's ready. After a day, the battery died, put back to the charger, but it instantly started with a red light, so I called the store I bought from, and they told me to bring it back. Today, they have changed it to another X6 battery, but with the same charger. I put it to charge, was charging with purple light for about 4-5 hours, then the same thing happened, it turned to Red, aswell as the previous one.... so it didn't charged a bit.. :( I don't know what to do anymore, I feel bad to take it back again, is there a solution for this? maybe my charger is the problem? It seems it's working, but.. I don't really know

Basically he's saying you can do much better than with what you currently have. I tend to agree with him. (Not meaning to be a snob)

I know, this is the first kit I bought, and I liked it very much, that's why I bought it... I don't have money for another one, I bought a Protank 3 aswell, and I'm using it with the X6.. but the battery won't charge, and that's my problem..

I understand. I really do. Can you contact the vendor whom you purchased your setup from for an exchange? I don't believe there is an easy fix for your current setup. You got a bad battery or bad charger.

One thing that you will learn soon is the vape industry is big business, and there are many companies putting out so-so products with terrible quality control. This is where brand names become important. There are several brands with a very reliable reputation, like joyetech, Vision, Kanger, and Aspire. And then there are brands like you purchased....

I have an x6. I think they're cute. No it's not my primary
device, but I've had it and used it a couple of times a week
for close to a year.
Anyway, something is either wrong with the battery or your
charger. I'd take them both back to the place you bought it
from, if they won't make it right see if you can get a refund.
A product should work correctly when you first buy it. There
ARE better products on the market though, that's what they're
trying to say. I probably wouldn't consider this for a primary
device. Good luck!

thanks for the reply, I will take it back then. But I can't believe 2 X6 would have the same problem, it must be the charger... anyway, thank you again!

Since replying I do recall times when throwing it on the charger I had to unscrew and rescrew
a few times to get a proper connection. Might be something in the threading. I just know
every time that happens I get out the alcohol and a swab and clean everything well.
They're really not made very well.

X6's are great little fixed battery mods. I have 3 of them. But any fixed battery mod is pretty much unfixable if anything goes wrong. It's not a bad choice at all, especially for someone just starting out. If you don't like vaping, then it wasn't that big of an investment. If you like vaping, you will soon be contracting shinyitis, and will probably start collecting mods. The X6 is still a good mod to start with.

It sounds like a bad charger fried both batteries. Like mcol said above, the store should make it right for you.

I can contact the vendor, as I said he already replaced my X6 to another one, but it has got the same problem like the previous one.. I saw many positive feedback on this product, that's why I chose this. as soon as I'll have the money, I'll try another mod, thanks for your answer, I really appreciate it!

hope it's the charger, because I don't want to kill another battery.. I feel so bad about this, it feels like I killed the mod.

Even if it's dead, you didn't kill it. Most likely, the charger did. Unless you tried to do something like try to vape it with a subohm tank or charge it with a battery charger not specifically made to recharge li-ion batteries.

Are you talking about the light behind the button? Red means the lowest voltage setting, purple is the middle one, and blue is the highest setting. To change the color, press the button 3 times quickly and it will cycle through the settings. If it keeps showing red, it just means it's set at the minimum voltage setting.

Regarding the threads, they're aluminum, and will strip out if you look cross-eyed at them. I inadvertently stripped the threads on my first X6, and I'm not a gorilla when changing tanks, believe me, but I was unaware of this defect. I got another one, and have since been changing tanks and screwing it on and off of the charger as if the threads were constructed of tinfoil. Seriously. I'm sure I even hold my breath while I'm doing it. So far, so good. ;)

I have larger (more powerful) mods I use now for primary use, but I keep a tank on my X6 to change out flavors during the day, and set on the highest voltage, mine will last me *most* of the day, but that's using it very intermittently. If I use it exclusively, and have it set to the lowest setting (red), it will last half a day, maybe a bit longer. So there might not be anything actually WRONG with it, it just needs the voltage set to where you want, and you might need a second one (or a better one, whatever) as a backup. I actually like the size and feel of the X6. If the threads were better and I didn't feel like I was handling eggshells all the time, I'd have a whole bunch of 'em. :)

You misunderstood me. I know I can change the voltage by pressing the button 5 times. The problem comes when I put it on the charger, it shows up red immediately, and it should be purple when it's charging. and after hours of charging, the battery's still dead, so it wasn't charging a bit, that's what I was trying to say

Hi.DO NOT feel bad about INSISTING the seller gives you a new unit AND charger! You are the one who spent good money on a defective product and the liability lies with the SELLER! Even though he has traded it back once. He's continuing to give you defective units or charger.THAT'S NOT YOUR FAULT. If he refuses to give you a new charger and unit, NEVER purchase a thing from him again and chalk it up to a learning lesson. There are PLENTY of GREAT places you can get good products online that will stand behind the products they sell and you can be sure your getting a GENUINE product. For a good beginners unit check out www.myvapestore.com. I know they have decent prices and sell Genuine products and very FAST shipping. The seller who sold you this Unit should be replacing both charger and unit. You dId nothing wrong here.Even if it was the charger causing the issue, it SHOULD have been replaced in the first place. Vaping supplies is a HUGE industry and if that seller isn't willing to make right the products he sold you, it's time to find a new seller.Sadly sometimes in this industry, you will get a few sellers that take FULL ON ADVANTAGE of new vapers starting out. They can do all kinds of underhanded things thinking you won't know any better. I'd give him one more chance to make good and replace your products BOTH charger and unit. if he refuses, write him off and find a better seller and perhaps a better unit. I do hope this helps a bit and wish you the best.Don't let that seller take advantage of you. Like I said, even though it's been exchanged once, it's STILL NOT right. That said, he SHOULD take this product back as well and make right on the sale. Good luck!!

When you go back to the vendor take everything with you, your device/battery, your tank, your charger. Let them see what it is doing and see if they will replace or exchange it. Most vendors want to keep your business and will do what is right, if not, take your business elsewhere. You can always go online and you will find a lot of devices cheaper. E leaf I stick 30 watts can be had online for under $30 and will work with your protank. The Istick charges via USB
I always recommend the Kanger Subtank Nanos or Mini Tanks as the coils last a good while before needing replaced. The Kanger Subox Mini or Nano Starter kits are a good set-up with a 50 watt mod and subtank included as well as USB charging and pass-thru capabilities. You would still need to purchase a 18650 battery or 2 (1 for extra) Still a great starter kit for around $60, and you can get the batteries for around $10 and under (I like the Samsung 25R). Good luck with whatever happens:)

You're right, sorry! I realized last night as I was charging mine (and paying ATTENTION to what it was doing), that yes, even though I have it set on 4.2 volts (blue light), it does display the purple light while charging. When it's fully charged, the light goes out, but then flashes purple again 3 times when unscrewing it from the charger. Sorry about that. And the 3 clicks thing instead of 5 clicks. I sometimes forget which mod takes 3 clicks and which one takes 5. I do know the X6 takes a really long time to charge, though. I was surprised when I got my first one that it takes 4 to 5 hours from dead to fully charged.

I still like it for the size and weight, though. I just wish they had stainless steel threads... but everyone else is right, go take that one back, too, and get another one AFTER they put it on a charger and you see it's functioning as it should. If they don't have one that will, order one online. There are some e-bay stores (that's where I got my second one) that sell them for $7 to $8 each, and a charger shouldn't cost you more than $3 to $5 online.
