Silicosis ??

Could be one reason. Personally, I've never been able to use any type of silica-based wick, without it fraying to hell and back. Don't like the idea of breathing in tiny little bits of that.

Just my .02 worth (or less). :p

XC-116 is ceramic and doesnt fray like silica. It is also kiln treated to almost 2000 degrees for 16 hours.

I'm not sure why more people aren't using it. I personally use ReadyXWick and love it. The main problem with it is I haven't been able to get it work right in all my attys. It works great in my rebuilt aerotank but I can't get it to work well in my kayfun. The price is not an issue for me. The wick lasts so long it really isn't that expensive in the long run.

I recently just purchased readyxwick and Im thrilled with it. I actually had just bought a big box of rayon to replace cotton builds, and I like it. But the ceramic blows it away. Like you I cant seem to get it to work in all my builds. I have replaced all my mesh (and im a die hard 500 mesh user) in my gennys with readyx. 3mm has gone into my aga t2's, 2mm into my chobras and chdids, and my kraken is dual wicked with 3mm and has never run better.

However I cant get readyx to work in my kayfun, or my fogger v3. I tried 3mm in my kayfun and it just gurgles and leaks. Its all sealed up proper and the coil height is right. The.wick just touching the deck. No go. It just floods. I can vape it and it vapes fine, but if I let it sit for 5 mins and vape again it gurgles at me.

In the fogger v3 I tried the 2mm readyx and cut the wick so its barely sticking out the juice intake on either side. I was getting dry hits when chain vaping it.

In both cases I screwed the readyx into the coil and then made sure the center of the wick wasnt collapsed by sticking a needle thru the wick after I mounted it in the coil.

Cant figure out how to build either of these with readyx. Id love to hear from people who have had success, and see some build pics if possible.

I would be interested in seeing some kayfun and/or fogger builds with the readyx as well.
