I'm curious about this stuff, did some quick googling, and found some useful information...

The sngvapor vapor site claims it "heat cleans" the xc by heating it at +750˚. According to the 3M data sheet, it should also be "heat treated", which is at much higher temperatures, for 12 hours none the less.

hmmm...

Can some of you post some picks of your XC builds?

I use cotton since I started doing micro coils, but I still think cotton imparts it's "flavor"(very subtle wet sock/cigarette ....) to a juice.

Always looking for the next thing lol....

Many of those coils were right before I tried cotton. Cotton holds more juice than xc. Just trying to get more juice near the heat source, or, in some instances, break up the coil into sections so that there's more wick-to-wire in the ratio. They all worked fine. Cotton works better. Oddly enough, even tho I vape a mean low-res. coil, I never burn my wicks. I end up replacing them to freshen them up; but that's just whenever I get around to it. I keep it squonked and wet.

Oh, uke, I'm not doing anything fancy with the cotton there. I just squonk before every other vape. And when I squonk, I hold it for a good few seconds. Just in case there's something I do in my setup (that I'm unaware of), I'll throw a few pics up. (yes, Dennis, I'm "throwing up" again . . .. . tee-hee)

This is what I'm always vaping these days. (BTW: this goes to the IGO-S question . . .. ain't gonna fit no Mundy's Magic in there, I don't think.)

This is what I used to vape, before our dear Mr. Mundy came along.

Yes, my grandfather was a balloon animalist, and his father before him. I also do lifelike caricatures in liverwurst . . . . . .. with pimentos for eyes. And Smurfy baked me an apple pie for my birthday . . . . . . . . .. with ice cream and everything. There, now what have you to say about that? :|

:p

28 gauge, 1/16th drill but, 12 wraps( 1.49 ohm ) with xc132 yummy stuff here. Frays real easy but a piece of dental floss at the end tied around lets you pull it through the coil.

I hit mine with a butane torch until it glows white, this stiffens it considerable and I don't get any fraying when I cut it.

I'm really liking the flavor in this. I definitely taste the difference between this and cotton. And pdib your right. Cotton holds on to the juice way better, so I'm squonking more often. But when I forget to, I don't ruin my wick.
Gonna use this for a while and see if I prefer this over cotton. Worse comes to worse I pull this one and pop in a quick cotton wick :)
( it's still in it's guest hole behind my bottle lol)
