is there a way to clear out the alerts ?

or did I miss how to do that?
None of which I'm aware. If you are referring to the little alerts notice at the top right, it will replace old ones with new ones. If you mean the alert page, they all stay there so you can always see all of your alerts.

I actually like the red'ish color. Before it was kind of hard to distinguish where the link was from the rest of the text. ;)
Me too. :) The dark blue (or dark gray if they were read?) didn't contrast with the black enough...but weren't they that orangey red right before the change too? I thought I remembered liking it then too, when they made that change the last time.

Because the boss said make it red. Let it be written. Let it be done. :D

I wonder why? Seriously, red (and orange) are the traditional colors of danger and warning (think red stop lights, orange road cones, red flags in car racing and red cards in soccer, and so on and so on.)

Those fat red links draw way too much attention to themselves and become a focal point of a post--for no good reason, really. They are just links--sometimes helpful, sometimes not...

Anyway, just my :2c:

Seeing red....

I agree......they should be purple!!! hehehe

Purple would work nicely with the classy, traditional ECF blue color scheme.

But I still think that the links should be dark blue.

I say get rid of the orange and the red, bring back the blues. The big red heads on the homepage, the red alert box, the salmon quote boxes and those peachy ecf supporting badges... oy...
