Add me to the list of people with that hope. I appreciate being recognized as a supporting member, but do not care for all the vertical space it wastes and the extra scrolling it thus necessitates.
Cool! The didn't make it a ribbon but they did change it from a big circle to a horizontal rectangle, a form in which it takes a great deal less vertical space. Thank you!

They want it to be something that stands out - a ribbon would not - a way to say thanks.

if I type ProVari as an example in my post, a link to their forum is automatically created. NICE!

After a short time on ECF...the underlining (for hovering) of the word "heads" began to become somewhat distracting.

For me...I can see turning the word "vaping" into a RED link could quickly become "old".

Absolutely agree! It wouldn't be bad to have it as a link, as long as its emphasis wasn't changed by the red bold font. It really messes with a LOT of sentences commonly used on ECF!

Here's something kool I found- On a longer thread, where the page numbers are on the top and bottom of the thread after opening- click on the Arrows, and it scrolls thru the page numbers.
Cool! I Had to try it out, of course. :D

Yours truly has a confession to make. Please be kind to me because I'm older. Much older! /lol /joke

Those automatic links in posts which I previously posted about and became so gaga over have become a royal PIA! Period! I don't mind the color of the link but respectfully and at the appropriate time, someone needs to spend some time in Admin and tweak things. Based on my colorful past, I'm guessing that it's enter a "keyword" and then define the link or delete the word. Please please please.

:)

Vaping is the bomb!

It would actually be a pretty simple fix -- just define a CSS class for those automatic links, and for that CSS class, just define the color as the regular text color.

I vote to give Zoidman his bubbly brain avatar back tho...:) He's earned it.

I agree.. and liscab's smoke as well. :- ) I think there was only one other - that I knew of - a moderator - j0ker perhaps??

Thanks Guys.

I thought I would wait about 3 Months or so for all the Code Fixes and Refinements to be done and then Ask if I can have it back.

Norman, Ok
But...just wondering...what would that "Link" button in the Reply be useful for???
For one.... something fancy... :)

If you just drop a link in a post... it'll get named the same as the webpage's title ( if it has one ), if you wanted a different name for the link instead... type the link name you want seen and then highlight it... click the link button and paste the actual url address in there and then you've named the link as you'd prefer it to be instead of taking the default webpage title.

OK...you're correct!!!

I'm not sure.

I thought Originally it might have had to do with How the Link is Displayed. But they both, Copy-n-Paste and using the Link Button seem to do the Same Thing.
