@ZeroOhm
Have you compared the resistance values of some atomizers on the XVO and a dna mod? I have about 5-10% too high values on the XVO - Ni200 builds about 0.03 Ohm to high. Because I use NiFe52 builds only, it`s not a big problem

i have, and theyre about the same from clone to authentic dna's

Sorry if I missed it, ZeroOhm, but what is the device in the first pic?

It's a DNA Triton Stick by Vladnef a Russian modder from way back (in vaping terms) maybe originally released in 2012 using the Nivel board.

Someone told me it may of been the 1st regulated cage mod but I have no idea if this is true?!:)

As far as I can tell I have only compared it against 3 evolv mods 1 DNA40 V5 and 2 DNA200 mods. Like you I don't vape NI200 at all in TC. I better order some NiFe52 as far as I know there are no stockists here in the UK.

Vape on!;)

Just tracking back, and a bit of Googling, tells me that it may have indeed have been the first. VERY interesting - and thank you!

And no, @Katdarling, we're not buying any.

Zero, VERY interesting. I would actually love someone to blog the history of the Topless ("caged") Mods. This sounds like it WAS way back (if 2012), and stunningly original for that time. It's beautiful.

Who would like to volunteer for the project? :D

I remember the Nivel chip. Mamu was using them for a time in her Lexi manufacture. I never had the opportunity to try one out (the Nivel).

Thanks for the info. Enjoy it. She's a beauty!

Nice to see you, Sir!

Question, and I know I'm asking the right person - what became of those chips? They were quite highly regarded but I don't see many new mods using them. Are they still in production but just out of my sight?

I was always intrigued by them and semi expected them to become commonplace.

Thanks in advance.

Nivel was designed and engineered in Russia by Alexander Innanov.

I haven’t tracked it in years but here is a web site. It was originally a 15 watt board and thru my travels I haven’t seen or heard of revisions.

Web site (shows out of stock) so not sure they are even available any more. Sorry to be of such little help.

Just a heads up. I ordered the following Xvostick from Gearbest and it does not work correctly. It constantly asking if it is a new coil and then you get a couple puffs followed by check atomizer or short. This happens with all atomizers I put on it. Not sure if I just got a bad one but wanted to throw it out there just in case. It sucks because I really like the form factor, just want one that works.

Does anyone that has received the most recent batch of xvo's from 3F, do you get any type of warning messages on your screen?

I have been keeping track of my battery usage and ohm sways and I have seen absolutely no warning messages with my xvostick.

I feel like the most recent batch probably has disabled all warning messages like "ohms too high" since people have been complaining about it if using anything over a 1 ohm coil. To test mine, i built a 2 ohm coil just for the heck of it and I receive zero messages on my screen.

I get no low voltage / battery warning either. By the time my battery is at 3.5v (tested with DMM), the vape becomes substantially weak, pretty much unvapable. I was hoping to rely on the device to just stop working all together when the battery got too low, but it seems as though I have to just go by feel.

Anyone without ANY type of warning message?

illitirit, I run mine in wattage mode only. The only message (an annoying one) is the same coil up, new down.

I've never seen "ohms too high", nor any low voltage or batt warnings.

okay then it confirms that mine and yours are the same. I also run only in wattage mode and I do get the new / old coil message only when I attach a new atty on.

How low do you usually run your batteries before switching?
