My favorite part:

Probably because the consumers are using the internet because they quickly realize that the brands commonly available are more likely than not crap.

I'm in the comment section now occasionally rebuking people who make absurd statements.

Just click the thumbs down and with enough thumbs down, the obnoxious posts go away. LOL Some have been really hostile. Others are just stupid, but worthwhile leaving up and countering.

here's my comment-

the term "e-cigarette" needs to die. the very whisper of the word cigarette results in immediate negative connotations. if anything these are "personal nicotine vaporizers" and a tobacco alternative. the irony of it is, the ones that actually do look like cigs are the worst ones on the market in terms of battery life and overall technical quality.

There are already more than 1,000 comments posted on this AFP article (most in support of e-cigs and against e-cig prohibitionism).

This article was also reprinted in a South African financial newspaper and another one from Singapore.
