invid,

over the next week, do me a favor (if I am even in a position to ask one...lol)

If you could smoke the same juice, and use the same atomizer for a week. A good one with an easy draw. After 5-7 days, could you tell me if the atomizer itself has junked up at all or the draw has gotten any tougher?

I ask because I am on day 6 with my USB. I use it almost exclusively, and normally after about 4-5 days, you can notice a drop off as far as draw is concerned. It tends to tighten up, and get heavier. What I noticed with my USB atomizer though, is I have ZERO performance loss. No harder draw, no issues whatsoever with all the added extra power.

I'm starting to think that when a battery starts to weaken (about 30 minutes before charge time) it doesn't totally vaporize the liquid, thus resulting in a tougher draw. Over time, this lack in power tends to junk up the atomizer itself because you can't run a battery a full power for hours on end (Without upgrading at least)

know what I'm talking about invid?

Cash, I'm glad u posted this. I had the same idea with my USB. My theory also was that the more power was just vaporizing any possible gunk build up. I've noticed absolutely NO drop of in vapor on mine thus far. Will be an interesting experiment but I think you are definitely on to something.

Like I said earlier, been using my USB for over 3 weeks now with no problems. I'm sure one day it'll go... but hell if I only have to buy 1 atomizer a month I'll be pretty happy about that. You guys toying with ideas, I think this is great. It helps everyone. The next version of the USB cig I do is going to have a portable option. Of couse I will share it with you so that anyone interested can make their own. Also, for those of you that can't do your own modifications I'll be starting a thread to guage the interest in me making you one, after I show both versions of the mod to everyone to prove how well they work.

Cash, I think your right on with this. I'm using an older 2 hole that was clogged up as I didnt want to fry a new one. I used it for a day with no issues. I was playing Fable 2 on the xbox and accidently pressed the switch for a few seconds (damn zombies!) and from then on this thing has been a fog machine. So I tried to clog it. I over dripped to no ill effect. I read of people having problems with JC juice mixing flavors, so I dripped 1 drop from 4 different flavors several times, still throwin smoke. I am thinking that when the power gets low, the juice does gum up.

invidregis....any chance of a step by step guide or video for making one of those boxes?

Because I am a big Bender fan I will try to get this together. Wifey and I are expecting, and she's due next week. If she delivers I wont be able to get to it soon. If not, I'm on it.

I was thinking about doing just this thing...making "the smoking gun". I was going to use a cheap plastic pistol grip for a shotgun...and hollow out a space for the trigger to sit where your trigger finger would be...it would get some looks I bet.:D

Be careful where you use "the smoking gun" people are generally ignorant and I'd hate to read about a hostage-barricade situation where the offender had a smoking plastic metal detector defeating weapon. The ATF is looking into this new terrorist device.

Rochdale...sadly.
9V Switched Battery Box > Maplin

ive ordered that to try out, the biggest thing is seeing about space where to insert the atomizer connector and the routing of the wires so it looks neat once all closed up.

Maplins also sell switches (should the inbuilt switch or that case not work out ok) at 49p each (these are to make switches which mean they have to be pressed to activate which is exactly what we want)

I think that case you highlighted should be good for the job.
