What were you looking for? 3/16" wire rope is going to be a little on the large side for just about any wick hole I've seen out there.

LOL.i have the mother of all tanks,i posted the incorrect wire size,i picked up 1/8 in for my RSST and 3/32 for the AGA and the wire fits like a glove,PERFECT fit.I jusy got the AGA up and running and i am in disbelief.I watched Todds review on the cable wick and was he ever spot on,its the best vape ive ever had in my life.

ah ok. that's I figured. So for our purposes the 7x19 would be better?

Yes...

The 7/19 will give you more capillary action as there are more (thinner) wires braided into the full rope... It is also much more flexible than 1x19 rope so it is easier to setup in a "UWick" configuration in genny attys and drippers as well.

Here's a video that shows the difference in flexibility... Notice how easy the 7x19 rope bends and how tight the bend can go.

I use this stuff all the time at work (pretty cheap @ McMaster-Carr) but just a question here, how long did you have to heat it to get all the processing oil out? It is nasty stuff no matter where you get it. Turns your hands black after 5 minutes of working with it. I would think that getting all of it burnt out of the core would be difficult and probably effect the taste. Maybe I'm crazy but just asking.

You can wash and soak it in soap first, rinse with alcohol, then torch till it glows red hot.
