Hi there! This is more of an intro message than anything. I figured it would be polite to introduce myself, rather than jump feet first into some thread or another to answer questions or comment.

I used to vape a couple of years ago using the 901 and 801. I went to dripping almost as soon as the starter cartridges ran out. It looks like quite a lot has changed in the last two or so years!

I just got an Ego T Stardust kit online, and got some new attys for my 801 locally. I really love the new setup! It is very similar to smoking a cigar, although the flavor of the juice isn't really the same.

I'm still deciding which rebuildable tank to get, although it looks like I'd probably better go with the low resistance attys with the Ego battery. As for variable voltage, I think I'll stay away from that for a while, since I don't really need it.

Anyway, glad to be here, and hope to talk to everyone soon.

Hi Caridwen!

Funny thing was, I never really was a smoker, aside from the occasional high end cigar. I did dip smokeless, though - mostly Copenhagen. I tried the e-cigs on the off chance it would help. I ended up quitting tobacco cold turkey, instead. I'm still tobacco free after almost two years, but I really loved the flavors in the e-juice vapors, so I picked it up vaping again.

Honestly, I'm looking forward to trying a bunch of different juices and flavors. I'll probably start ordering samplers in a couple more weeks.

how do you like your eGo? mine should be here any day. i'm still using a kr808 setup, which seems to be even less of a device than the 801 or 901, am I right? Anyway, can you help me understand the benefits of a low resistance atty with your eGo battery? Thanks. Super-newbie here.

KR808-D was actually an improved version of the 901, you can in fact screw 901 stuff on to a kr808 and vice versa, although you may or may not get airflow and be able to use it, depending on the model. A low resistance atty burns hotter, allowing you to emulate higher voltage vaping on a lower voltage device at the cost of reduced battery life. Low resistance puts a lot of strain on the battery, and that's why you don't use them on anything smaller than an ego.

Welcome!

I just came back to the ECF after about half a year or more :O
I got back on the analog train when I was too lazy to order more juice, and thusly started smoking all over again. Now I have been smoke free for about a week, and counting.

I have my Riva 510 and some smoketech LR cartos, but just ordered a MyGO from aquavapors. Figured I would give the VV a try and the MyGo is cheap for the kit that you get with it. Can't wait to get it :D

Welcome to ECF Justin. I too started with the 901 back when they only had auto batteries - killed a bunch of them before they came out with the manual batts. As far as cigars go, the closest i came to something resembling a cigar was a Blaze disposable e-cigar. It had the feel and weight of a cigar and even tasted like what I remember a cigar tastes like.

I really like it. With the Stardust tank, I go through maybe 1 ml per day, and the battery lasts for almost two. This one is a USB passthrough that charges off a standard mini USB, which is very convenient, since I have lots of places I can charge it, both at home and in the car. I'm still learning about low/high resistance, so I really can't do more than parrot what I've seen on this forum. Most of my experience was with the 801, and that was a couple of years ago.
