Because it's true, and his opinion on them is probably biased. That isn't a statement on his ethics or character. I'm sure he thinks the imists are nice too. Why would he sell them if he didn't?

His choice of PVs to sell are most likely what clients want. Also the carts. It is a business and most business ppl research what sells better than others. Nothing to do with his desire to be biased, just good business IMHO.
Anyways, off topic. Apologies to the OP.

i would suggest to buy a 18650 variable voltage mod. then you have a great mod that will accept a high or low resistance atty or carto and you can see what you like better.and it will accommodate pretty much anything and have great battery life.as always tho,to each there own.there are so many devices out there and different attys and such it will be hard to choose.when i first started i bought the green smoke.what a waste of 200 dollars.lol.

I would never suggest that someone start out with 18650 mod. I recently got a SS lavatube and I absolutely love it. It feels heavy and sturdy, which is exactly what I like. HOWEVER.... I can't imagine lugging it around everywhere. When I head off to work, I put my Ego with a stardust in my pocket and I'm off. IMHO, it's important to have a nice portable unit.

Agree.

An eGo/KGO/Riva is a perfect batt for a noob and is a great backup for anyone using 510 gear. I've bought and sold dozens of mods, but my eGo will remain in my vape kit.

For me, it's my Reo Mini out and about, ProVari for the couch, and an eGo tucked away for a backup.

LOL, My head started spinning when I first found this forum. Only about 7 billion sub forums here.
This is certainly a lot of info.
The Rive eGo looks like a very good deal but as DemonCleaner says, not in stock.

How about this for a start?
couple of KSD eGoVV 900mAh Pass Through Batteries
10 or 20 Boge LR or SR Cartomizers
couple of drip tips
With the above, do I need a cone?

Because the batteries above, are pass through, i don't really need another charger so that is a good thing.

Thanks

I think that would be pretty good, but instead of getting 20 cartos, if you decide to get that many, i would spread it out a bit more to try different things. Maybe a pack of LR, SR, kangers, and a stardust, or maybe the 1.2 ml vision. That kind of thing. I'm not sure if that comes with a usb wall adapter, so if you don't already have one you might want to pick it up. Possibly a car adapter too. The cable that comes with it might be pretty short, so a longer one, or a usb extension cable might be needed if you want to use them as pass throughs.

Either way, you can't go wrong with whatever you get. Joyetech, ksd, riva. As long as you get a little variation to what you are connecting to them, you will find something that works for you. Do try to get a variety of juices also, again, just to make sure you find something you really like.

I agree. Try a couple of other items, like stardusts and order less cartos until you are sure it's what you like. I know it's tempting to try and pack in as much as possible to save future shipping costs, but you aren't going to save any money if you buy something you're not going to use. And no, you don't need the cone unless you're getting ego tanks and atomizers.

They just cleared customs.

Hot-Damn. That is great news. You will not find better bang for your buck than a $40.00 Riva starter kit. Even though I don't touch the dinky little things nowadays I can fondly remember vaping exclusively on Rivas for a couple months. They take a beating if necessary, last a long time and are very user friendly, allowing many different options to be used in terms of cartos, atties, tanks, etc.

Protip, make sure you get a stainless or silver one. The black coating will peel off within a couple weeks from mild to moderate use.

My personal recommendation for a starter kit according to my own experience to date.
(Items from Canvape)
Fat boy 1300Mah 3.7v 510 thread battery (like a beefy, simplified ego)
5 pack of Boge LR 2ohm cartomizers
Ego usb rapid charger(works on the fatboy)

I picked up a Fat Boy from Canvape on Sunday, cause I'm still waiting for my mods to be delivered and needed something to tide me over. It's inexpensive but the weirdest thing: I get lots of vapor but no flavour from my cartos. Using Boge SR. I can't tighten the carto too much because it cuts off air flow completely. So I loosen a bit and try to adjust but just can't taste anything. Can anyone explain this?

Thanks

I have to say that if you want a ego that is awesome, if you want a mod that is great too. Whatever system i use (or someone else) may not work for you. I Have tried a lot of ego combinations, a lot of 808 combo's too for that matter. A mod just does not impress me that much as when it comes to flavor of the juice it still comes down to taste is subjective. A small example is a lot of people are having issues with the size of the hole in the smoktech dct but i don't.........

If you are looking into the ego-t and with doing a ton of home work on it, it would appear the regular resistance (lets call it version 1) has a ton of issues. You may get a lot of dry hits, leaking, etc etc ect.

Now if you want to go with the ego-t LR (lets say version 2) then you are going to have a ball with it.

I have been using the version 2 for about 2 plus weeks, i have swapped out countless flavors in it, and never once have i gotta a dry hit (unless i intentionally wanted one, to let me know the old flavor i had in there was fully removed)

when it comes to the ego-c i heard some people like it, and some people find it a PITA. Personally i would say go with your gut feeling

I've been in your shoes.
First I wanted something that wasn't a waste of money and had options to grow. I'm not into mods and probably never will go this route. Gee is that BOOO-ing in the background!! lol. I'm a simple gal. ;)

I decided on the ego-c because of the tank and ease of buying an inexpensive atty. There are many attachments for the battery, so I can play with cartos etc. I had trouble at first with leaks because I was new to the unit, once I sorted out the do's & don'ts....everything is great, I like it, it works for me. I recommend 2 batteries.

Next, I realized I needed something more portable. I did my research on the mini units. There are differences in opinions, but I invested in the 808 model with a small personal charging case.

You need to look at your needs, if you're a heavy or light vaper and if you're on the go. I recommend an Ego unit & a mini unit, also check out personal charging cases for the ego or 510 or 808's etc. Or maybe you'll love the bigger batteries & mods and it would be worth investing from the beginning?

Maybe you could post what type of vaping you'll expect to be doing. Then all the kind & fabulous members can help with specific recommendations.

Best of luck to you.

I could in a sense but it would not be very flattering for the company or be properly conductive to the conversation at hand  :p
