I think it might be the SR carto, even though I was told it would be ok, maybe I need LR. Still learning that side of things. Could be totally wrong. Hard to write about this now with a straight face.

If i am not mistaken, you are using the ego fat boy? If so here is The Ego Fat boy/boaster FAQl

As well, i have heard the if it is not A Genuine Ego (this link shows you how to tell) then the higher voltages and SR carts are SOL with flavor

So there if this helped then i am not so naughty, if it did not help, i will have to try harder to get the rolling on the floor-need a potty break laugh

I laughed out loud haha I did! Just hate using the overused acronyms and couldn't find a smiley that laughed and rolled (although I was sure I saw one once....?).

Pretty sure it's not an Ego. The specs are: 510 battery 1300mAh. I did ask about the cartos at purchase but as I said was told the SR would be fine. Sign... now I have to order some LRs, which I could have just bought at the same time. Didn't cost much and I have two mods on the way so not that troubled, just anxious to have a satisfying vape on a longer lasting battery.

Thanks for your help. Sorry I couldn't ready through that thread on the Ego Fat boy - the ole brain cells are rebelling today.

Oh then let me help with the ego fat boy it comes down to ugh ugh ugh POWER! no mod but still have power ugh ugh ugh (insert beating of chest) now before you go ordering new carts....and to play the devils advocate here, maybe it is the juice itself? sometimes the juicy gods (yes i know that sounds wrong) do not smile the nicest on the vaping followers

No it's not the juices. I've tried a few. My Volt kicks .... compared to the Fat Boy in terms of tasting the juice.

I would recommend getting a couple eGo batteries and some boge cartomizers......you will most likely wind up there sooner or later after buying a T or C. Or if you are going to get a T or C kit pick up some Boge cartos as well and give them a shot, they will fit on the batteries you get with those kits. The T and C use a mini tank system that feed juice into a wick and then to the atomizer, they are notorious for Dry hits due to wicking problems, the T more than the C though. Just my

for someone starting off.. theres not a better pick eGo batteries get some 306 atty's(drip) its the swiss knife of e-cig world

I picked up a Fat Boy from Canvape on Sunday, cause I'm still waiting for my mods to be delivered and needed something to tide me over. It's inexpensive but the weirdest thing: I get lots of vapor but no flavour from my cartos. Using Boge SR. I can't tighten the carto too much because it cuts off air flow completely. So I loosen a bit and try to adjust but just can't taste anything. Can anyone explain this?

Any 3.7V device is going to suck with SR cartos, doesnt matter whom makes it. You just need to get your hands on some LR cartos and you will be fine.

Hey, from one noob to another who bought an eGo C weeks ago, I would say read the info pages about the "3 levels" of vaping and decide where you fit in there. You can't go wrong with any kind of eGo style battery and some cartos if you don't like the tank system (which I personally like). Find a price you like, and just pull the trigger and then vape it from there. Just get started, that's the important thing - just think of how fast it pays for itself re how much you spend on cigs.

Just to be clear-
The Fatboy is not an Ego clone, it is it's own device with similar dimensions as the Ego (Dubacco under D&B enterprises out of South Korea is the manufacturer)

The Fatboy operational voltages are as follows-
Full charge -Blue led 4.2v
Low battery warning- Red led 3.3v
Auto shut down-2.8v

Standard resistance 510 cartimizers are weak and flavorless under 5v, Boge LR carts or Kanger Horizontal is the only way to go when vaping carts on less than 5v.
Volt,E9,Bloog ect carts taste richer than 510 standard carts simply because of the differences in internal design making them run hotter, the Boge LR carts offer a a rich warm vape just as the 808 carts do, Kanger horizontals are reported to offer a rich warm vape on stock voltages as well (I have not tried the Kangers yet, vape mail on Thursday will correct that).

The cone shown in this image is a proprietary atomizer available only from the manufacturer.

To use your own cone on the Fatboy put a 510 to 510 Ego adapter on then add the desired cone, there will be a gap between the top of the battery and the bottom of the Ego adapter, this can be filled (for looks and gives the cone a threadstop) to fill the gap cut a section of vacuum hose or find a nut that fits or grab a small Lego tire, besides the added aesthetics the draw will become easier/better regulated.

That's a standard Ego cone that has been ground down slightly at the top to provide a wider opening (different heights are available to purchase though).
