Yet another vaping technique question

How deep is the tip of the device into your mouth - is it between lips and teeth or into the mouth further than the teeth?
How close are the upper & and lower set of teeth to each other - are they close to each or do you open your teeth wide?

A little unrelated to the above - other vaping technique threads say 'smoke it like a cigar' - since I haven't smoked a cigar - how would that be. Another post also talks about 'steam pipe' - what's a steam pipe - googling shows me some steam pipes - but I can't figure out how exactly they are used? I am starting to get the feeling that I may have led a sheltered life as far as analog smoking goes.

Interesting, never really though of this, reckon it is intuitive or boils down to personal habits maybe? Not sure if it makes any difference to my vaping experience but I did realise certain drip tips feel more comfortable to me than others due to their shapes.

I would have to say no. The stain you get from smoking is from the tar I think. No tar in vaping, just sweet clouds!!

Do what is comfortable, and feels right for you. I wouldn't give it too much thought.

I know my bf puts his in his mouth further than what I do, but his mouth is HUGE compared to mine. I just put it where it feels right. I would assume everyone places them slightly different since everyone has a different mouths.

Also, you puff cigars, and don't fully inhale them. You roll it around in your mouth. I would think you wouldn't want to smoke it like a cigar. Although, sometimes you have to give it a couple puffs to get it going or to get a big hit, but in general you don't smoke it like a cigar.

I vape much like I smoked a cigarette. Pulling the vapor into my mouth first with the tip between my lips and teeth, then lung inhaling.

It's my opinion that the "smoke like a cigar" comment is more for a mouth inhale vs. lung inhale discussion like this one. I don't know what a steam pipe is either. So don't feel too left out

Clueless on the steampipe. I just smoke it between the lips. Kinda hard to dangle my MVP from me mouth like a sig. I did hold the ego C with kanger evods from my teeth on occasion when I needed 2 hands.

My technique depends on the drip tip I use or the mood I'm in. If I'm using a metal drip tip, it's between my lips and teeth. If plastic, I found that I sometimes bite down gently on the tip.

I always do a mouth to lung inhale, but that's also the same way I smoked a cig. Never straight to the lung. The exhale depends on the flavor. Sometimes through the mouth and sometimes half through the mouth and half through the nose.

I don't like to get ejuice in my mouth, and the chances of that increase, for me, if I put the drip tip further down in my mouth, depending on the device I use, and the connection between the drip tip and the top I use. Even if it's a subconscious thing, I prefer to not go past my teeth.

No tar, no smoke, no stains. Blow vapor through a tissue sometime. No discoloration, it just gets wet.

just the tip on the lip. Not too far. I remember once smacking my drip tip against a tooth.. Not a fun experience.

If I'm puffing deep for huge clouds, I go about to the teeth with my tip, otherwise I kinda' just rest it on my lower lip. As far as mouth hit vs. lung hit, I do a mouth to lung if I'm vaping something with nic, but if I'm rocking something with no nic, straight to the lungs.

For me it really depends on the air-flow of the atomizer in use.

Stock disposable clearomizers and my Smok Trophy Tank hardly draw and I find the mouthpiece buried in my gob to the hilt as I draw with sunken cheeks to get the amount of vapor that I am looking for.

My Ithaka/Clone or Dripper (drilled to 1/16 inch dual air-holes) hardly go into my mouth as the vapor production is much greater (also due to resistance and voltage applied to these two)

The other assorted tanks vary based again on the vape / draw required for me to get the "hit" that I am used to / looking for.
