I have run into a little money luck so I am looking to upgrade a little bit. I currently have a 901 and I really do like it but I want something that is a little sturdier and less maintenance. I do not want to go to a SD. Right now that is more than I want to spend. I would love to hear from all our veteran vapers as to what they have and what they like/don't like about their PV's, links included if you can. I do want to get the most I can for my money.

Little info-was a 2+ pack a day smoker for over 30 years. I vape from the time I wake up until I go to sleep and I even keep one handy to hit a few times when I get up in the middle of the nite to um, well you know. I love dripping and would do it more if not for it killing my batteries. I can do it with my passthru just fine though. Whatever I get, I will be getting a passthru and also plan on getting a Kensington power pack too. I'm really not able to get my head around the price of a screwdriver and it looks to heavy to have hanging out of the corner of my mouth while I type but I welcome info on them as well.

Ok, let's hear why you like your PV and why the others stink!

Thanks in advance!

Disclaimer: I'm not a veteran, so this is not what you asked for. But I'm here, I'm bored, and nobody else has replied yet. Sometimes the best way to choose is by process of elimination, so here's my experiences with the 510.

510 = sturdy, but not low maintenance due to infamous abysmal battery life. Though a plus in maintenance is the protected battery of the manuals (free to drip).

What I like: Lots of vapor, dripping all the time, atty #1 still performing strong after about a month. The fact that most suppliers give you 2 attys and 2 batteries in a kit. Easy to straw-mod, which makes vapor production even better & makes topping off ridiculously easy.

What I don't like: Battery life, which is basically the price you pay for performance. Heard that flavor is better on the 901. Some people claim to get a burning taste w/ 510 attys.

Bottom line: I generally find it unlikely to see anyone regretting a 510 purchase. Once I read on here that someone preferred the 901 over the 510. yep, once. And I know the 901 is great.

I'm not a vet, but Elendil makes a good case for a Janty Stick and their V2 is supposed to come out today:

Elendil:

note the included passthru, and compatible with your 901 stuff. Also will have a 510 adapter soon.

Although not something that would hang off your lips while typing. For that you might look at a 510. Innovapor.com has a starter kit with 1 ecig for $25. charger... to try. If you like that you can go full bore with passthru, extra attys, batts, etc.

Based on how you smoked and even though you would rather not spend as much as a Screwdriver costs, I think you are forgetting something.

I would strongly recommend you consider the Prodigy or the Screwdriver. What you might not know is the batteries for these PV's cost $2 instead of $13-$20 for all the other type of PV's. In the long run you do save money and have one of the best PV's made.
