Hi all...

Just as a little bit about me...I've been smoking about 2 packs a day of a menthol cigarette for the past 20-30 years. Wanting very much to give up the habit but afraid to try, it seems that using an e-cig might be the solution or at least a viable alternative. So, like so many other newcomers to these forums, I've been spending many hours doing my research on these boards about e-cigarettes and vaping.

There are alot of great posts already done by all you veterans out there and they helped clear up much of my initial confusion quite a bit! But as I've just about reached the point of information-overload and decided to just go ahead and place an order for my first starter kit and supplies, I find that I need just a bit more information and I hope that some of you can help me?

I decided to go with the 510 for my first try at this and started to look at the various options and prices available from several different suppliers. In doing that, I ran across the Yeti....

Is the Yeti really and truly the exact same thing as the Joye 510? Are there any advantages or disadvantages to one over the other that anyone knows of?

If I purchase the Yeti starter pack and, somewhere down the road, I need a part or accessory that is listed for a Joye 510, can I use it with a Yeti? Are the parts interchangeable if, in fact, there's no difference between the two models?

In my starter pack, I'll be getting the usual two batteries, two atomizers, 5 cartridges, and a charger. In addition to that, I decided to add a pass-through, some unfilled cartridges, and also a couple different types of e-liquid in order to (hopefully) get a good feel for whether or not this is going to work for me and also (hopefully) result in kicking my analog habit.

Thanks in advance for any help!

the yeti and the joye 510 appear to the be same. When you hear the word 510 or 808 used it is talking only about the type of connection the atomizer uses to connect to the battery. Some people just add their own branding. If i am not mistaken joye is the first to introduce that style of ecig and the rest are a reproduction.

I stopped analogs 3 weeks ago and havnt looked back. I started with an ego-t which i liked alot my wife with a magma which is the same as the joye/yeti. she quickly switched over to the ego and i upgraded to something a little more consistant.

Alot of the ecig thing is about personal preference. Some people really want the feel of an analog so the standard style works best for them. Some people dont mind having something that works better but, doesnt resemble an analog. I.e No fancy lights bigger heavier ect...

The only piece of advice i can give is ask lots of questions. Dont give up. If something doesnt work for you try something else.
If you have to smoke a few analogs during the day do so and dont feel bad about it. Its a work in progress.

If you have any questions feel free to give me a shout.

The yeti is a 510 just simply renamed or re-branded for the companies sake. Just be sure to buy from a reputable dealer so that you receive authentic joye 510 parts. There are plenty of great dealers to choose from on this forum and I personally order from cignot.com great customer service and super fast shipping!! I would also recommend cartomizers which are just easier to use until you get a feel of how much liquid to add to a cart or even when dripping. I have only been vaping for a week and prefer dripping the most as it gives the best flavor quality and throat hit but you must keep the atty wet. 2-3 drops directly on the atty will last about a half a cig- a cig depending on how much you vape. Best advice just be patient try out vaping and different methods (carts, dripping cartz etc) and chances are you will love it!!

btw i have yet to find a menthol that taste like the mbro 54's i was using so have stopped looking all together and decided that i like blueberry pancake alot =) Funny you wouldn't think when you start that you would want to inhale blueberry pancake but, its surprising good and satisfies my urge.

Drink lots of water as your throat could become dry the first few days. If your a little edgy that would be normal also.
