YK1 (Cyclone clone from fasttech) stops firing after 23 hours of non use! Why ?

Why does this stop firing every morning after 23 hours of non use ?

I just got this YK1 (Cyclone clone) from fasttech not long ago.

I like dripping in the morning. That's when I need a harder hit. Problem is after 23 hours of non use my YK1 stops firing. To get it to work, I unscrew the posts and fiddle with the coil. I do this for 5-10 minutes, sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. If it does not work, I rebuild a new coil.

As long as I keep vaping, it keeps firing. Problem happens when I don't use it for a long time.

I thought maybe the coil was over-saturated, but that's not true. The coil is dry to touch.

I thought it might be a short circuit, but that's not true. Multimeter reads the coil at 1.5ohms and when I remove the cap I ensure the coil is not touching the base.

Today, after speaking to some people, I thought it might be because the posts were not making enough contact with the wire. But after tightening further, it broke the wires. So I think it was tight enough before.

Any idea what could be causing this issue ? Could something be wrong with my posts ?

What mod are you using? Could be an issue with a pushed post or just oxidized/dirty connections. Try cleaning the threads and post with ISO 91% and checking/raising your post height.

Most likely a bad connection, which can only be at a few places on this atty. #1 is the coil to the posts, which it sounds like you tightened down and it didn't help. #2 is the 510 connection, which means you have to raise the positive pin on your mod (or clean it, if it is really gunked up or oxidized). #3 is the press fit between the negative post and the deck. If it spins around freely (like mine started doing after a month), the connection will be inconsistent and I don't know of any good way to fix that. If its none of those, there is something strange going on inside the atty, perhaps where the positive post and pin connect to each other (if it isn't one solid piece, not sure if it is or not).
