Thanks for the welcome folks.

I like to fidget with stuff in my hand and the door on the REO door is just what the doctor ordered as a substitute for my Zippo when it comes to that! I think not fiddling with a Zippo is what I've been missing most about not smoking for the last year. :D

door flipping fun, plus it bugs the Mrs. to no end. :p

That's an impressive collection. Is that one on the far right a GD 3d with dna40?
Indeed, it is. I run titanium coils in it since nickel seems to irritate my mouth and throat. I also have another one with a DNA30 in it.

To me the biggest advantage of a regulated mod is that I can drain a bottle of juice (or come darn close to it) on a single charge, while on a mechanical, I want a fresh battery by the time I'm half way through a bottle 'cause the vape is getting a little weak. My perception is that the 40 is actually a bit more efficient than the 30 in this respect.

As for the whole temperature control thing... It's cool, and I think it would be a big benefit to people who are new to bottom-feeders (or even dripping) 'cause it really will keep you from getting a nasty, burnt, dry hit. But once you've been at it for a while, how often does that actually happen? If I'm paying attention, the answer is, "essentially never".

The only mod I really ever regretted buying was a DNA 30 clone. I liked the consistent vape, but that was the only benefit for me. For me it was just a bulky expensive kick.

The only mod I've ever regretted buying was a Nemesis clone. Partly because it's a clone, partly because I found that I generally don't care for tubes (and especially not it they have switches on the bottom that you have to lock every time you put 'em down!), and partly because it didn't do a dang thing for me that some other mod didn't do better. :D

Yeah, I'm kinda old-school when it comes to drip tips. I've got this really nice piece of really black African blackwood I've been meaning to get some tips made from, but I can't quite figure out what I want.

BTW, my first, very simple mod:

As you can see, I'm being environmentally responsible and using recycled materials.
