I had booked a cruise for Jan 2016, 2 months after I booked it we received an email from the cruise line that they were banning smoking & vaping in balcony cabins, OUTSIDE on the open air balcony of your cabin. If you are caught, you are subjected to a $250 PER DAY "cleaning fee" or as I call it a fine.
Yet, you can go to an enclosed bar & smoke or vape to your hearts content, or you can go to the enclosed casino & also smoke or vape to your hearts content, but to go to sit on the balcony of your room, it is not allowed.
Needless to say I cancelled our cruise (they lost a total of 4 bookings), and from what my cruise agent said he had SEVERAL others cancel as well. I guess unless they change the rules we won't be cruising anymore. I will miss it, but I'm standing my ground on this one!

In Jersey, a shop must apply for a tobacco/cigar lounge type of license. Not sure what the term is exactly. Though, that complicates things as there may be zoning issues, and other "red tape". Not all towns want that type of business. Its really rough in Jersey. I have heard of several shops being fined for vaping.

Good luck, and vape on!

The MALL in my town DFW area will allow you to Vape, because there's a Vape shop in the MALL. not a Kiosk, a STORE. Yea with doors and everything. hahaha, IDK who else has that in their area. back to the post, that's some BS. dont care where you live, it's a vape shop you shld b allowed to vape.
I saw a couple people vaping in the mall yesterday here in Chattanooga, tn. There's a little vape kiosk at the edge of the food court of all places. I didn't stop and check it out but it looked like mostly knock off starter kits.

Something about carrying your grandbaby into a vape shop and then complaining about people vaping just sits wrong. I agree the store gets to make the call, and I would comply, but it seems to me that if you don't want the child around vaping, you shouldn't take him there.
My local b&m it's 18+. I would never even think about bringing my son in there. When I smoked I never smoked around him, now I vape, I don't vape around him. And to bring him in a room full of vapor, not going to happen. That's just irresponsible in my opinion.

At my local vape shop you have to be 18 to enter. There's a sign on the door. I'm not sure if it's law or an insurance regulation. It could just be that the owner doesn't want to have to ask for ID and turn down people who are underage.

Up the street you can buy overpriced eGo knockoffs, juice, leather goods, spikes, swords, and other Gothic accessories at triple price.

Some of the vape shops in my area have says that say 'NO SALES to under 18'. but i guess if you wanna bring you kid in you can. but they wont sell to them, I've actually seen them CARD ppl too!!

Kids can go into a convenience store that sells cigarettes and ecigs, but it's all behind the counter. I'd bet that the 18 restriction is for purchases, but vape stores are so new in most places that owners are wary about maintaining adherence to the rules. They don't want to start a rumor mill about minors being there for no good reason.

USA. State: Inebriated.
Nobody's even mentioned that in New Jersey, it's actually 19+ for nicotine sales (cigarettes, vape stuff, etc.) the little stickers even say 19+ instead of 18+. I see people bring their kids into vape shops all the time, at one vape shop a guy who works there often has his kid there playing games on his laptop/iPad while he works for the day.

Personally, I don't necessarily see the problem in it. But I have heard that in high nic cloudy rooms, it is possible to get a nic buzz from the second-hand vapor. In a situation where the shop is really cloudy, I wouldn't think it responsible to bring your kid in.

Since going to GGV, I've learned some additional things.

ie: The town it's in (Clifton, NJ) is SPECIFICALLY harsher about their in-shop tobacco laws (for cigar lounges and stuff) and getting a license in that town is far harder. I've also learned that the nearby businesses enjoy the business that GGV gets. Nearby is a pizza place, a little antique shop, and a convenience store, and the employees there often frequent GGV, people will sometimes order pizza/beverages to the store (and the delivery guys don't mind walking next door, easy money/business for them). Police officers REGULARLY frequent GGV, and love it. I've seen a police officer in-uniform come in with a big tacklebox of building stuff sit down to rebuild some of his coils.

So it's strictly a matter of fat cats in suits not wanting the business there, for one reason or another. They have been appealing the law, trying to get it amended, but really it's an uphill battle, and there's no telling how long it'll take.
