You have $120- what type of mod do you get and why?

Personally, I would get a smok magneto. The magnets make it super smooth, I like it WAY more than the K100 I have. You can probably find one for $40. Get some Samsung INR18650-20R batteries, $22 will get you four. Throw in a NiteCore 4 port charger for another $20.

So far you're at... let's say $75 for mod and batteries, $45 left for atomizer.

If you want basic, get a Protank. $20 and done.

If you want to do rebuildable start with 10m of 28ga for $3 Kanthal and 3ft of 3mm Ekowool for $7. If you don't mind dripping, get an IGO-W. I got my last one for $14. If you want a genesis tank you can do an AGA-T2 for around $20, but in my experience you're also going to need some stainless steel cable (NOT GALVANIZED) to use as a wick. You'll sill want the Ekowool to use as a sleeve around the steel cable for optimal performance.

Michelle, When I wrote my first post to your question I felt the Provarian whisper to me. Some how I thought you were destined to be chosen by the Provari!! My first response disappeared after going to Advanced mode accidently clicked on show entire content, and the page refreshed and my words were gone! Was going to just pass on commenting, but the Provari wouldn't let me. lol

Welcome to Club Provari!! May you find your path to the ultimate Vape. Be sure to check out the Provari sub forum.

It's funny, Provari owners get a lot of criticism from some, but the only ones that bash the P are ones who have never touched or used one, let alone owned one.

The Provari chooses the Vaper, this has long been understood by those that have studied Vape lore.

Vape long and Prosper

Provari! None better, most not even close!!

Thank you oh great Provari ancestor. I'm in the process of ordering it now... so many things to decide. What color..what color... lol. Do you also agree with IBTanked as a leading tank?

I have to second this (just realized many have suggested it, so not second, third or forth). I have a ton of mods, high end low end what ever... I don't have a problem. Anyways the MVP2 is the best bang for your buck I have found so far. And the Black Mamba skin rocks too...

Bought it for travel, charges so easy and lasted me 4 days and I am a chain vaper. Really steady hit, pretty easy to use. My mind is blown for 50 bucks. Still love my Provari so I won't lose cult status, but for anyone starting out I would suggest the MVP2 as a cost effective, powerful solution.

Yeah the MVP is a decent device, and was on my contender list, but If you get into builds that vape at 14-15 watts, then the MVP is a wash out. She just don't put out. !! watts maximum I believe. Sure that's fine and more than enough power for intermediate and beginner atomizers, but once you try vaping at 14 watts or so, and enjoying a thick juicy vape. One gets spoiled fast. lol.

The Protank and I had to go through couples counseling to learn how to communicate. I needed to get over the fact that my expectations were too high and he had to address his gurgling and leaking issues. We finally came to an understanding, but I still wait for my hero to rescue me. Sigh.

What kills me is that you have been vaping for how many year? and had the Provari how long? And you expect the pt to put out? Really. lol, ya, ya, know your a dripper, and you need to mow the lawn and trim the bushes, but really? At least give the Aspire Vivi Nova BDC a try, it's supposed to put the PT to shame. Almost as good as the big boys! lol. I apologize Ocelot, I may be quick at builds, but I am long on persistence. Hey, if you did get a good rba, you could always send it to me, and I'll do a build for it that you can max the P out at 15.4 watts, and the vape will make you toes tingle!! I would do that for the Queen of Provari!! I serve at the Queen's Pleasure. Too thick? maybe a tad, but still sincere.

Joyetech eVic
Why? You can get a complete setup (minus tank) for $104 that includes usb charging cable, 2600mah battery, wall charging adapter and firmware upgrades

Also because you can adjust both the voltage and the wattage in .1 increments. You an also vape with it while it is charging (passthrough)

Basically has an onboard computer which can connect to your computer for vaping history with the included software

Then you still have $16 left that you can buy a ProTank (with three coils left)

But you will have to come up with a few more dollars for some juice ;)

Yeah, eVic is nice, with some nifty features, but drop it on the tile floor, and she may vape no more. Now your into it hmm, could of had a Provari. lol. And why does it need to be updated? Is it like window's OS and full of holes and errors? Doesn't it work properly once built and tested? That part confuses me. a bit. Also, why would I want to know my puff count? I already know that when I use up a tank fill, that I've vapped 4.3ml of juice. Besides I don't puff, I vape, big huge juicy clouds of vape, there is no puffin to it. lol Looked at it, almost bought it, but was to fragile of a pv.

Michelle, I'm not into carto's more of a rba kind of guy, & carto's can be fussy, but what I really recommend is this one: Aspire Vivi Nova-S BDC Glassomizer $13.49 - VividSmoke.com This is supposed to be the latest and greatest of the entry level tank atomizers, Just released with a glass tank. All the reviews have been outstanding on this tank. Almost tempted to buy one, and the price is right. Would recommend purchasing one now, because they will not last long.

Do I want request the 2x 2.1 coil heads along with 1.8 it comes with or just get all 3 coil heads at 1.8???
I don't know because it's dual coil and I'm not familiar with what that means! :(
This will work on provari right?

Dear dice, I am only a Princess, but I am touched by your reverence.

Quite by accident I was one of the first people in the US to get a ProTank. I can't remember how I heard it was in development, but once I had I probably annoyed Edward at Sun-Vapers with my Are We There Yet? emails. I have great luck with my set-up, but I was hoping the Protank would taste as good as my carto tanks, but be easy to fill on the fly. Oh oops. It wasn't as good as I hoped it would be, and there were issues, but I'm stubborn and figured them out. I haven't bought any other toppers since, because I don't need them.

I appreciate you wanting to introduce me to the world of RBAs, and I may take you up on your offer at some point, but for now I happy with the size of my clouds - and at my age, when your toes start tingling it may not be a good sign.

KTS+, IGO-L, some batteries and a charger, and an Evolv Kick 2. Should still be under budget if ordered from Fasttech, which I have mixed feelings about, but it is cheap. Spend the rest on tasty juice.

Edit - Though maybe don't get the batteries and charger on Fasttech. You want to go for quality there. Still should be under budget, though.

Dont worry azzaman. I'll do the Rio for xmas. :) It was the other highly rated mod :)

That's good to hear, you'll find when you move to the higher end stuff, vaping just works better. I stuffed around with way too much stuff in my first year. Trying to save you some trouble. Lol.

either will work, personally, I'd go with the 1.8, then you could use it at lower volts and have longer coil life. As coils are used and break in and start to gunk up, they increase in ohms. I don't know how high you can crank the Aspire, but if it wicks good enough to vape at 14-15 watts, then it would be a gold mind! On a good build that can keep up with the power, one you get her up past 13 or 14 watts, the vape becomes juicy in taste, and mass clouds. a !.8 would give you more play before the watts would drop off. This could vape almost as good as the big boys do.

The principle of the conservation of energy--regardless of what coil resistance you use, as long as the coil wattage is the same, the capacity drawn from the battery is the same. You can use higher ohms for reduced coil current, but then you'll need more coil voltage to get the same watts (which means more current drawn from the battery by the boost circuit--voltage isn't free). You can use lower ohms for reduced voltage but then the coil current (and hence battery current) goes up to achieve the same wattage.
