Am I right?

I'm convinced that my coughing and inability to take large, cigarette-esque drags off my PVs was due to the attys being new and needing whatever crud they come with washed out of them. Coughing was a problem up until they got rinsed and blown out (not comfortable with a burn yet).

I put the 3 attys in rotation thru the isopropyl alcohol rinse (which did peel paint off of one of them), and the difference is huge! I can fully inhale a cloud of vapor now, using the 510 or tornado batts, with no coughing whatsoever. Smooth as a baby buttocks. I'm now having a love affair with my vapes!

Sorry if this subject has been covered ad-gymnasium, but as a noob who thought he'd done enough research, it's something I missed. I thought I could just 'prime' the atty, add a full cart and puff away. Posting for the benefit of other noobs who may have the same problem.

Any new attys that I get, I am usually just fine with blowing out the primer (Yuck) into a paper towel until the atty is pretty dry. Then I will reprime it up with a few drops of whatever liquid I am going to use.

Not totally sure if you should be using rubbing alcohol to rinse them, although when I do a full clean on my attys I will actually use Everclear, PGA (Pure Grain Alcohol) to soak it for a short period of time. After that I just rinse with running water, then let it dry.

Tried the boiling water trick, laid out to dry, then 3-sec burn a couple times...seemed to work well.

All new attys,,,,at least for me, is to blow them out first.....add three drops in the atty,,,,then blow them out again....
After that, just add a couple of drops and you are good to go...Adding the extra drops first and blowing it out,
seems to get rid of any extra "stuff" in there...It works for me....Enjoy the Adventure...

I'm with route and paul - never done more than blow one out and its been fine. Whatever works for you is cool though
