I'm hoping that passing on this comment will be as encouraging to others still making that transition as it was to me!

She was a bit more tactful (I think she actually said "something is different about you - what has changed?" ... I was still in shock at the "you look great" part so can't quite remember) but this was a total surprise comment made to me by my mail carrier as she was stopping to say hello to my dog. Add this to the fact that they bring our vaping orders and you gotta love Canada Post ...
hopefully she wasn't referring to the wild look in my eyes as I come off the MOA inhibitors in the tobacco!

I had been a bit discouraged to discover that the nicotine was not the only thing I was addicted to and that although the vaping could take care of the cravings I needed to transition a bit more slowly to control some troublesome symptoms, so hearing this really made my week.

So in case there is anyone else out there who has found that at the moment they may be feeling like the only changes they are experiencing are negative symptoms - take heart, there's gotta be something good going on in your body if acquaintances are remarking you are looking better (especially if at the time you are taking the dog out in the morning in a jacket covered in drool with your hair unbrushed!)

... keep on vapin' ...

And for other women - what a cheap alternative to all the skin care products and high end makeup they try to sell us!

Yep same thing here. Six months after I began vaping was opening the cottage- neighbor saw me and shouted "What have you been doing...You look GREAT". WE conversed for 20 minutes and he kept on saying "You look so great". Myself I've noticed with people that quit smoking their complexion improves drastically and it's very noticeable.

Of course you look great! Think about it: Oxygen flows through your blood effectively; you get a better night's sleep because you're not choking because of stuffed up sinuses; you can get full lungs' worth of air throughout the day; you can go up a flight of stairs easier; etc., etc., etc.

You probably walk around with a big smile on your face and that is always a beauty enhancer.

Congrats! You're right about the multiple addictions. The withdrawal from all the garbage in cigarettes is difficult to overcome, even with the help of vaping. I was a bit of a bear to my wife during the first week and couldn't understand why until I did a little more digging...I never realized how much crap I was putting in my body.

Yes it is, brother.

Everytime I would try to quit cold turkey, I turned into a total cabron to my wife and kids. No es bueno. The vape ended all that and I feel great and no angst in the family. Good deal all around.

VAPE ON!!

Absolutely!!! I had no idea I was addicted to anything but nicotine - and certainly no idea there were MAO inhibitors in tobacco.

Browsing through ECF it seems that there is definitely a subset of nic addicts who are strongly addicted to the other stuff as well - it has been really helpful to me to see that while some vapers stop right away whereas others transition down, they are all able to succeed getting off the cigarettes.

I have started breaking out a little. Oddly enough it wasn't until about 4-5 weeks without a cig. BUT I was just realizing how much more color I have in my face last night. Was thinking to myself "when did I get so tan? I haven't really been out in the sun..." then realized OMG it's cuz I quit smoking!
