Gripe... rant...

I believe that it's a privilege to sell on ecf... one could argue that it's also a privilege to buy... yeah, whatever...

You get a chance to reclaim money you feel you wasted... help someone out... get a new toy or pay your rent. You are lucky... that juice you just spend $45 isn't going to go down the drain... instead, you get $38 back to try again.

Why nickel and dime someone with "you pay the paypal fees?"
...furthermore... now you are making them do math... and most folks don't have any idea what the rates are or how to add them when they pay.

If you are one of these people that want the person buying your "thing" to pay the paypal fees... just add the darn fee in upfront... Do the math for the person... your reo grand isn't $115... instead ask for $118.56... or whatever.

I have never bought anything from anyone who wants me to pay the extra $1.31 or $2.11 or .32... it's not the extra money... it's their audacity that gets me...

...I have friends on ecf that do this and yeah... I give them cra* too ;-)

I give my buyers two choices.

1. Pay the paypal fees
2. Send the money as gift so neither one of us have to give paypal more money.

I know it's frowned upon to send money as a gift because you have no recourse through paypal, but that's why I give them those two choices. Either they can pay the paypal fees so they can feel more comfortable with the sell or trust me to send the item.

Why would anyone use paypal for e-cig stuff in the first place? If they catch you you get burned. The have been against us from early on. I hate paypal and only use them if I have to and NEVER for e-cig business.

As long as nothing about e cigs are stated in the transaction there is no way paypal will ever know.

When people sell alot on ECF, as I do.
them Paypal fees add up.
it is your choice to not buy from us.
and I exercise that choice...
I'd buy from you Blondie... seen you around... you do sell a lot... in fact... I wonder what you actually love using ;-) what don't you sell... I might want that next. I'd just pm you and ask you how much it really costs... then paypal you... and probably give you cra*

They do add up... I paid $233 to paypal for ebay fees alone this month... but I take this in account when I set a price etc...

My gripe about Paypal lately is that they want my bank account numbers in order to be "verified" on PP. They know who I am from my past years of CC history with them. From what I understand, I have to give them the right to access my bank account for various reasons, and that's not going to happen. They can put any fee on my CC and we can dispute or discuss it from there.

It looks like I won't be verified on ECF because I will have to give PP my account numbers before they will verify me to ECF. Just me ... I'd rather not release that information to anyone, since I'm only a user and not a seller.

And a loan shark won't break your legs if you pay him on time.

Seriously. I don't see why anyone in our industry would support an organization who goes out of their way to screw us over. My merch guys specialize in e-cigs. They believe in our products and support our industry. There is not a snowballs chance in hell that I would use a corrupt organization like paypal, who are just waiting for a chance to screw me. They chose to make me an enemy. Not vice versa.

Paypal sucks.
