I FINALLY quit smoking analogs after 4 months of vaping..I've been tobacco free for almost 2 weeks now...

Problem is I live with 2 other smokers in the house.. They've considered giving vaping a try but aren't too enthusiastic about it..It's REALLY hard right now b/c I'm having too many side effects b/c of PG liquid..I ordered the nicotine VG but who knows how long it will take to get here!

So, meanwhile Im dealing with the PG even though it sucks and it would be SOO easy to just grab a REAL cigarette but I haven't..

Anyone else living with smokers? Is it hard for you? .

I feel your pain. Yes, I live w/ two smokers (wife & daughter). My wife just started vaping so she's doing both. However, my daughter smokes but doesn't work (how she seems to find the money to buy those Marlboros, I'll never know).

I did take a hit off my daughter's -analog - nice throat hit (ahhhh) but, STUNK! Now, the smell of cig-smoke really is a drag - no pun intened.

No probs w/ pg (so far).

I am right there with you, but I think I have my DH (only other smoker in the house) to a point where he wants to try at least. I feel like it is a step in the right direction. In the beginning he was really skeptical about it being able to work. After watching me go from 20+ analogs a day down to 2 or 3, he is really interested and ready.:thumb:

I got him one just like mine b/c he tried mine and said he thought he would like it better. I want him to feel comfortable about it, plus it saves on $$. We have three full DSE901s each, so that will carry us on to the next PV...what will it be?

just a few suggestions...

Kill them in their sleep.

Spray them with a fire extinguisher any time they light up.

get the cheapest most disgusting cigars you can find and light one around them any time they smoke.

Have a crazy fit and scream like a lunatic any time they light up.

spray air freshener directly at them any time they smoke.

talk to them and explain that they are making it very hard for you to keep from going back to smoking and could they please just smoke outside for a little while till you get over that 'difficult hump'. Then just deny you are over the hump indefinitely till they are in the habit of smoking outside and just do it all the time.

If they don't want to cooperate then go back to the most obnoxious behavior you can muster. Just think what used to annoy the hell out of you when you were a smoker and do it to them.... CONSTANTLY!!!!

I live with one ex-smoker and one pretty heavy smoker...We all used to smoke in the house until the first roomate quit about six months ago, then the smell started bothering her so much we moved it outside. The smoking roomate is very jealous of my vaping in the house now!

I doubt he'll try an e-cig, he just isn't interested in "newfangled gadgets", but two of my coworkers are very interested and talking about ordering their own.

ha ha ha...thansk for the advice..actually they already do smoke outside..smoking indoors is a big no no here...we don't want our house stinking..

Now that its raining everyday..they have to go out to the garage or stand in the rain to smoke..so I think my hubby is liking the idea of the e cig more and more..he says hes just waiting for me to find an e juice I like with no side effects...

I don't blame him really b/c I've been through a lot of learning stages with this darn thing..juice, e cig model, cartridge filler material, dripping etc..I complain a lot so I guess that doesn't help.

Hubby and mom smoke! Hubby is trying to quit with E-cigs, but is barely at the half and half point. Mom's 85 and has been smoking for 70 years. She tried one of my 901 and coughed herself sick.
I realized that she is probably not dragging hard on her smokes any more and got a lungful of vapor with the 901.
Anyway, I can't ask that either one of them to go outside. But I do have to have my P.V. in hand at all times!

he says hes just waiting for me to find an e juice I like with no side effects....

I had a few side effects from certain liquid suppliers.

Have you tried ECOpure liquid from intellicig.com? It's VG based and has only 4 ingredients.

I bought menthol ECOpure and it's quite good.

My girlfriends a smoker, she tries my liquid, both my 24 and my 18 mg liquids and she likes the taste and she likes the 510 with the manual battery and blue light, thinks it looks cool and I look good with it. But when she inhales it chokes her and she's not inhaling much when she does. I gave her the advice of fill the mouth with smoke first then inhale, it's much smoother than straight to the lung inhale. A couple carts that came with the new 510 are High carts and they are really really smooth no throat it for me, but she feels a slight throat hit so i don't know how to get her on an ecig and still get the same amount of nic that she needs without a high nic content making her cough. Maybe it's the PG?

Anyway no I don't find it hard, because she's supportive and doesn't critisize me for it, it makes things much easier for me to not smoke a cigarette. I do smoke 2 or 3 cigs a day but that's better than a pack a day.

That's good that she is supportive Rhetoric Camel. Try her on a mild low nic fruit/sweet flavor. Maybe she doesn't inhale analogs as much as you think she does. I didn't, but I still smoked like a fiend. Hubby's 18 nic killed me when we first started. I had to go low nic.(and still managed to quit analogs)
I have noticed that smokers are really dismissive of us on the whole. maybe it's because they think they won't be able to quit even with a P.V.?
I wonder why smokers cough when they puff on a P.V. but not when they smoke an analog? It must be the way they do it. For my mother it's because she has no lung capacity anymore..zip. Even with cancer taking part of one lung she smokes. Of course she can't remember she had cancer or the surgery..gotta love Alziemers. Why couldn't she forget she smokes?
Stormynights..play to the 'More power" Tim the tool man side of them! That's great!

Is that something common with long term smokers? My mom has been smoking for over 40 yrs and she says it makes her cough sometimes too..

I find this very disturbing since it reeks of the anti smoking methodology for forcing their ideas on smokers.

A friend of ours had a near death accident: broke his neck in a fall and was in intensive care for a couple of months. When he finally came out of the coma, he had trouble remembering most things and at first did not recognize his wife and other family members. Thankfully, he got well after a very long time. When he regained his memory, he was adamant about wanting a cigarette. His wife looked at him very confused and asked why he would want to smoke since he had never done so before the accident. Of course he had been a chain smoker. I have mixed feelings about that since it seems really dishonest to take advantage of someone's illness and use it to get something you want. In the end though, he left the hospital with absolutely no sense of taste for anything, including food and cigarettes; so the point was moot after that.
