James Brown used to make little exclamations like "I wanna kiss myself!" and "Ah-zib-ah-zang!" while he was performing. I'm not a particularly huge fan of his but he was playing on TV in the background one evening while I was trying to think of a new username and zibzang wriggled into my ear. Just to be a smarty pants, I changed the z's for x's and the rest is history.

When I was younger, I was a very good troll. My friend and I used to go to Blog Talk Radio and listen to ultra-right-wing shows from America. The level of blind hatred and stupidity in these shows - and in the chat channels - was staggering and picking holes in their points was like shooting fish in a barrel with a hand cannon. Very often, people would assume I was Chinese because of my username (I'm 6'4", Scottish and as white as milk) and they'd make all manners of racist statements at me based on their incorrect assumptions which just gave me more ammunition. I was systematically banned from every channel I invaded but not before I had people's blood boiling. I sometimes fantasise that I caused a heart attack somewhere (I kid).

So yeah, xibxang stuck and I continue to hate and call out all forms of discrimination. But enough about me.

Walter is a nickname from high school (long story), and SCAN is a nickname from another forum I used to frequent (acronym for the name I used there). So I mashed 'em together. :) I think it gives people the impression I'm a guy sometimes though...

It does... I thought that for a while, till you said something that gave it away. :D

Ok this is going to sound weird but, my brother calls me sis, and anytime on a forum that I've tried to use sis or sissy it's always been taken so I said to myself, but I'm the real sis, not them. Then I put it together to make realsis, and NO one had used that and it's always free for the taking as a user name. So realsis was then born..

About 15 years ago I was an online gamer on the Sega Dreamcast and XBox Live. I wanted a screen name which sounded nasty and mean. I came up with Bad Attitude and shortened it to Baditude. It's been my screen name ever since. I even have it on my license plate.

There is actually a song called baditude. Spoon, Harris & Obernik - Baditude (OFFICIAL VIDEO) - YouTube

In case you find yourself in need of a musical theme...

As for my user name. It's almost 20 years old, born from the frustration of trying to find a decent username that didn't have numbers in it and inspired by an Aliens movie poster.

22 years?! Very well done, ma'am. Respect is given. I lost my dad to drink and it's a fate I wouldn't wish on anyone.

My dad was one of my earliest helpers to get to AA; he had 11 yrs sobriety at the time. And then I lost him in 2006 to lung cancer. Guess they weren't "Luckies" after all.

My kids (and now the grands and great-grands) - we never go on vacations we have adventures! When my oldest was around ten someone asked her why we did and went to such odd things, her answer was, "because Mom is really Auntie Mame!" After that they all started using it when they introduced me to someone.
