I'm an acoustic man myself....the one that got away from me was a nice Breedlove acoustic electric. Action was so smooth, and the tone.....the whole body would reverberate with the lightest of strum (but not rattle with a heavy one). It was a finger pickers dream. Sadly I had rent due........now I am playing an ovation. While not bad.....its just adequate

Ahhh condolences he he. My SG had to go about 10 years ago to pay rent on our bands studio. Wasn't my favorite but I still miss jamming Sabbath riffs on it.

I think the ex's dad has a Super Beatle out in the garage actually hah. Not sure cause its buried against the back wall and his old 50 something VW is in the way but whatever it is its got the trapezoidal head and the cabinet has the good old rack holding it.. One of these days Ill make him come get it out.. I think he told me once it was a bass amp though and I dont think the Super Beatle was ever a 'bass' model.. Its sitting right next to an old as hell Hammond B3 with the Leslie cabinet. I really wanna get to that thing and rape it for the tubes for my Marshall and my Vox.. I bet theres some killer old glass in that thing thats dying to be put to use..

I don't know about <N>ew <O>ld <S>tock tubes. They get ridiculous prices for them and all a tube does is provide a corresponding amplified output signal in proportion to the input. We don't like solid state because it's too accurate. Tubes create some level of distortion of the signal when pushed and we think that sounds "right".

That said, I do like to sound of the dual 6L6 output in my Peavey Vypyr 1-12" amp. Modelling + 12AX7 + dual 6L6 = Billy Gibbons sound.

I wish I'd bought that Super Beatle for $400 when I had the chance back in the day. Back then, I had to carry my stuff in the back of my '65 Mustang Fastback. The Fender Bandmaster was about all it would carry in length. Later on we got a trailer and life was good.

I had a dream a few years back, that was quite possibly the most beautiful dream that I have ever had. Better than whisking my woman away on a beautiful tropical island, and making love for 72 hours in the back of a lime green Ferrari as rose pedals fell on us like rain.

For some reason in this dream I was in a really rough neighbourhood. I was looking for a place to park my truck and I finally settled upon a shady looking car lot and decided this would fit suit. I locked my doors and began walking to my destination. All of a sudden I see a group of young lads breaking into my truck. Not on my watch. Like a courageous lion I approached the pack of hyenas and slowly started to find myself getting beaten mercilessly. I was getting banged up left and right, baseball bats connecting to my head, and sharp kicks to the ribs.

All of a sudden a light shined from the east. It was the brightest light I had ever seen, it gave off an aura of warmth, but more importantly love, like true love in its rawest form. I looked up, beaten to a pulp (and still getting beaten) to see Tom Petty. He had come to save me. He did not throw a single offensive kick or punch, but his beauty repelled my attackers and they had no choice but to retreat. He was beautiful in my dream (not saying he isnt beautiful in real life).

When I awoke the next day I still remembered the dream vividly. I had to take a day off work to cope with what my mind had just rationalized the night before and to get control of myself (I was bursting into tears all day). It was Tom Petty and he saved me. If I was to describe him in my dream, he was simply "Angelic"- hence my username AngelicTomPetty.

Because I'm from another planet!

Truth be told, it all started with flashlights. It became such an obsession I joined a flashlight forum and even won a test sample flashlight I had to do a review of and where the original picture came from for that review. My current avatar is a re-make of the one I use on Candle Power Forums as I redid it with my cousin last year to look more cowboy like, and the smoke in the picture comes from a cheapo cigar. In the end, I chose that pic mostly because that's the only one I had with actual smoke and because it is a knockoff of my other well known avatar. Just to be clear, the only lighting used in the picture does come from a high output flashlight, hence the nickname.

A green lime Ferrari? Are you serious? :/

My thoughts exactly!

Mine came from a Google search. I can't recall what I was searching for, but this pic popped up and it made me smile. Still does.

I bet you were searching for something about squirrels and nuts...
