With every other quit over the years I knew the day, time and where I was when I had my last cig. Always a big build up, getting rid of cigarettes, throwing away my ashtray, lighters, etc. So much pressure.

Somewhere between day one and three of vaping I realized I hadn't had a cigarette all day. It's been almost 6 months but I'm guessing on the exact day. I have the receipt from the mall ecig or I'm not sure I'd know the week. I was so amazed it worked I forgot to have a "smoke my last cigarette" ceremony.

Ditto that. Didn't put any pressure on myself. Got to my third pack after getting PV working right and smoked one a day until (FINALLY) the nasty tasting things were gone and I haven't looked back. I DON'T WANT TO SMOKE ONE NOW (so different from other quit attempts) so their hold over me and the ceremony of quitting are both gone.

I didn't put any pressure on myself like others have said. I haven't had a "regular" cig since last August. I really like vaping so it wasn't a big deal to me to let go of the other. I did have a few cigarettes a few days into vaping when i had some issues with sensitivity to liquids just so I could get my fix, but once I found something I could vape, with enough nicotine, I was good to go! I like vaping better than smoking.

Last analog was half way home from work, which is a 10 hour drive. I knew my Red Dragon was at home waiting for me but I couldn't wait to give up my 31 years of 2 packs a day non-filter. So I found a 21st Century disposable at a gas station and it got me home. It's been 6 weeks and I have no desire for an analog. Although I'm now totally hooked on vaping LOL. My ego T type B and some duel coil carts, along with some new Pink Spot juice is waiting for me this time home.

might be a dumb question. but are "analogs" what you mean by standard cigarettes?

Congrats on your switch! I know what you mean about not being able to wait to kick the habit. I didn't even wait for the batts to charge on my first eGo kit when it arrived, I just put one together and started vaping, and it's been awesome.

No dumb questions here. :) Yes, "analogs" are what we call traditional tobacco cigarettes, since E-cigs are the digital substitute.

I've been vaping for over six months and now I can't even remember my last whole cigarette. However, about three days in, I still had one lonely cigarette in a drawer. Out of curiosity I lit it up, took 2-3 puffs and felt nauseated and lightheaded. In April I was with some friends and again out of curiosity took a couple of puffs. No nausea, but nothing else, either. Just blah. I have no taste for them any more.

I didn't know my last cigarette was going to be my last. I just woke up one morning and felt like it was the right day to quit. I went for a run (well, more like a slow jog with my smoker's lungs) and thought about all the things I hate about cigarettes and what my life would be like without them. When I got home, I busted out the Green Smoke I had purchased many months before without really giving it a chance. Then I found ECF and learned all about vaping! I have since ordered a new PV and many eliquids and have never looked back. :)
