Your Package was delivered....NOT

So I just checked the tracking on my vape mail that was supposedly "Out for Delivery" yesterday and it is now showing as "Delivered"...only we didn't get it. I guess it was delivered to someone else. Now I get to fight the USPS for reimbursement, only to then restart the whole order process all over, IF I can get reimbursed that is. UGGH!

There's a small chance that it actually didn't get delivered to the wrong address. I've seen them do that a couple of times to packages that were addressed to me. It turned out in those cases that the mail carrier simply updated their tracking system erroneously, and I received the parcels the day after each "incident".

That doesn't mean you should wait around, though. I'd recommend (if you haven't already) that you contact your local post office right away to track down what happened.

And I hope they find and deliver your package to you safe and sound.

I just went through this yesterday. Pkg out for delivery, mail delivered but no pkg. Went to PO and left msg for delivery lady. She actually called and came to meet me after she was off to open up the boxes at my complex. Pkg in wrong box. Apologies all around.

Yes I did call the local postmaster and she said she would talk with the driver in the morning and give me a call back tomorrow. We'll see where this goes. Maybe CKCalmer is right and it will get delivered today.

This is bad for two reasons. First this package was going to be my wife's first real PV (she is still using Spinners) so she is not going to be happy with the lost mail. Second I ordered the batteries, the charger, and the PV from different sources. The batteries and charger have already arrived. Why oh why couldn't it have been the charger that got lost instead of the PV? She could have used my charger while we waited for hers to arrive. I guess it's Murphy's Law rearing it's head.

If it's any consolations, I've read of many instances on here where it is delivered the following day. We have a PO Box and often when it gets listed as out for delivery, it would be after the mail carrier is already out on deliveries so would have to be actually delivered the next day. Hope that makes sense. Good luck.

Normally I wouldn't be as concerned, but yesterday when the package was supposedly delivered the mail person was running nearly 3 hours late and I did receive not 1 but 2 pieces of mail that belong in a completely different neighborhood. Granted they were pieces of junk mail that seemed to be semi-stuck to the one labeled for my house. So that just doesn't inspire confidence of their accuracy of delivery yesterday.

We got a new Postal person today. A young person. Everything was a bit wonky. Not quite correct. But it did come the next day. Every one has to start somewhere... even postal workers! I am not too mad. That happens.

We do have a back door but I doubt they jumped over my 8ft fence to deliver it there.

This same thing happened to me today.....my order said delivered yesterday at 10:43am, but I was home and it did not get delivered.
Waited the for the mailman today, gave him the tracking # and he returned a short time later saying that he mistakenly delivered it
to the wrong address......needles to say, he returned again an hour later with my package.

First time ever this has happened to me. So if you have the tracking # that might help

Apparently, they can tell by GPS where the package was delivered

Jeez, USPS is just batting 1000 these days .. Had my own vape mail take a detour to another town reading "out for delivery" to somewhere I do not live. Luckily I caught the mishap via tracking early, and called the PO where the package was mis-routed, and it ended up only being delayed for delivery by one day.

For your wife's sake, I hope that you can get this all straightened out without too much stress, or strife.

Well today's mail just got delivered...still no package. I was able to speak to the mail carrier and she said she was out yesterday and has no idea who delivered the mail yesterday or where the package is. I gave her all the pertinent info as well. As of now though I am dubious if I will ever see this package.

Has anyone ever been in this boat? If they can't find it will they reimburse me? Will the vendor? Am I just SOL here?

Well my doorbell just rang, looking out the window I see a teenage that I don't recognize wearing a backpack and carrying something. I am thinking great another after-school door-to-door salesman. I open the door and he says "I think i got your mail by mistake." and holds up my package. I tank him heartedly and ask where he lives...his respose..."on the other side of the neighborhood."

So yay for this great kid that brought my mail, and boo at the USPS for delivering my stuff to another address.
